‘Real Housewives’ Star Explains Her Surprising Living Situation After Separation

Bronwyn Newport still has a full house, despite announcing her separation from her husband, Todd Bradley, more than a month ago.

In a January 2026 interview with People magazine,  the “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star said her estranged husband still lives with her in their Salt Lake City, Utah home, along with her mother, Marge, her adult daughter, Gwen, Gwen’s boyfriend, Logan, and Newport and Bradley’s five dogs, Douglas, Zoe, Remy, Petey and Freddie.

“I thrive in the crazy,” Newport, 40, told the outlet. “I like the house to be loud.”

RHOSLC fans know that Newport and her ex share several large dogs. During her first season of the show, the Bravo newcomer was “mortified” when dog poop was shown all over the floors of her spacious home.

“I did not know until I saw the episode,” Newport, 40, told Us Weekly in November 2024. “My daughter is kind of the dog whisperer in our house, and she came to me when she saw the episode, and she was like, ‘I am so embarrassed. Our house is so clean. How could this be what it looks like?’ And I was like, ‘Well, I guess that’s what it was that day.’”

Newport revealed the dogs, five boxers that she shares with Bradley, are the reason they continue to cohabitate.

“We might be the only people in the world who don’t have young children who are nesting,” she told People. “But we’re doing it for our dogs.”

While they live in the same house, Newport admitted that she no longer has Bradley as a “sounding board” for her life. She added, “But from where we are, I can see wonderful things for both of us.”

Bronwyn Newport Isn’t the 1st ‘Real Housewives’ Star to Live With an Ex

Newport isn’t the first “Real Housewives” star to live with an ex during a separation. When “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Kyle Richards announced her separation from her husband Mauricio Umansky in July 2024, the exes continued to live together in their Encino, CA, mansion for months afterwards. It was nearly a year later that Us Weekly reported that Umansky moved into a luxury condo in West Hollywood.

The Beverly Hills-based exes also shared dogs, but Richards has taken custody of the pets.

During an interview on the “Bitch Bible” podcast  she admitted it felt “strange” when Umansky finally moved out of their home. “I’m a mom of four, you know, I have a busy household,” she said in 2024. “I’ve got six dogs right now. I’m used to having a lot of chaos and stuff going on around in my house, and the day that he moved out was just strange because I came home and I was like, ‘Everything’s so quiet.’ “
