Former “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Garcelle Beauvais recently experienced a frightening ordeal when TMZ reported that a man claiming to be her ex-boyfriend made a bogus 911 call, alleging he was armed and fired shots in her home. When police arrived, they found no evidence of a crime, determining the call was a “swatting” incident—a dangerous hoax designed to provoke an armed response.
Beauvais, who was home at the time of the incident, has since broken her silence, saying that she is tremendously thankful her children were not present at the time.
Garcelle Beauvais ‘Grateful’ Her Children Were Not Home During Home Swatting Call
GettyGarcelle Beauvais said she was “grateful” her children were not home when Los Angeles police arrived at her residence on the night of Jan. 25 following a bogus 911 call of a man with a gun inside her home. Just two days after the terrifying incident, TMZ caught up with Beauvais, who opened up about how she is coping in the aftermath of the swatting hoax.
Beauvais, who was promoting her new TV movie, “Tempted 2 Love,” was asked, “First, before we talk about the movie, I do want to … make sure you’re okay.”
“Thank you,” she said, adding, “It was really scary … You just can’t imagine.”
“It’s a horrible thing to have to go through. And the fact that someone can do that to you just by making a phone call! I’m just grateful that my family wasn’t there, and I was the only one home,” she added.
TMZ reported that this was also the second time Beauvais’ home was targeted in a swatting call. That incident occurred last summer.
According to People, Beauvais is a mother to three. She shares her eldest son, Oliver Saunders, born in 1991, with her first husband, Daniel Saunders, whom she divorced in 2000. She later married Michael Nilon in 2001, and the couple welcomed twin sons, Jax Joseph Nilon and Jaid Thomas Nilon, in 2007. The marriage ended in divorce in 2011.
Why Beauvais Left RHOBH
GettyBeauvais exited “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” ahead of season 15, but not without drama as she walked off the reunion set and refused to pose for a cast photo.
In a March 2025 Instagram post (via Us Weekly), Beauvais announced her departure from the series after five seasons. “Hey, guys, so I have some news. I’ve decided to leave ‘Beverly Hills.’ It’s been a wild ride. I mean, some amazing things have happened, and some hard things have also happened, but it’s been a ride nevertheless,” she began.
The actress added that one reason she was leaving was because of her twin sons. “Their last year of high school is next year, and I want to be a part of that, and Jaid is starting a new career, and I want to be a part of that too. Secondly, I have the most exciting projects that I am developing, producing and acting in. I can’t tell you anything right now, but you’ll know soon.”
In an October 2025 interview with Variety, Beauvais further explained her reasoning behind leaving RHOBH.
“As great of an opportunity as it was to be on the ‘Housewives,’ it was also heavy on my spirit,” she shared. “Walking away has given me my power back. It’s given me a sense of freedom, and I’m in a good headspace. I want to create. I want to spend time with my family and friends. We live in a crazy world right now, and anywhere you can find joy and hold on to it for a bit is where we should all go. I am enjoying joy, peace and my life at this point.”

I think so did a bad time to leave. She is not missed glad she is gone..
