‘RHOBH’ Alum Safe After Home Targeted in Swatting Call

Reality TV personality Garcelle Beauvais had a frightening brush with danger recently when her Los Angeles home was targeted in a swatting call, law enforcement sources tell TMZ.

The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” alum was inside her residence when a bogus 911 call prompted a heavy police response — but no crime was found once officers arrived.

According to authorities, police received a report on Sunday night claiming there was a man with a weapon and that shots had been fired at Beauvais’ home.

All About the Scary Moment

The caller alleged that the armed individual was her ex-boyfriend and claimed he had a sawed-off shotgun.

Officers responded swiftly, but once on the scene and after searching the property, they found no evidence of any crime, determining the report was a swatting incident, a dangerous hoax that sends law enforcement to a location under false pretenses.

What made the situation particularly unsettling was that Beauvais, 59, was home alone at the time.

Sources connected to the star described the experience as terrifying, especially because the officers had no context or warning about the false claims.

Once they established that nothing was amiss, the swatting call was officially ruled out as a hoax.

Swatting has become an increasingly serious issue in recent years, involving false emergency calls designed to trigger large law enforcement responses.

These pranks not only divert police resources but also put innocent residents — and first responders — at risk. The term comes from sending SWAT teams to locations based on fabricated reports of violent crime.

Beauvais’ Home Was Previously Targeted

This is reportedly the second time Beauvais’ home has been targeted by a swatting call.

A previous incident occurred last summer, which also drew police attention without any real threat being found. The recurrence has understandably left Beauvais concerned about her family’s safety.

She spoke about how luckily no one was at home during the first incident.

In the aftermath, Beauvais is said to be with family and focused on figuring out ways to prevent similar incidents from happening again.

While she has not publicly commented on the episode, those close to her describe it as a sobering reminder of how unpredictable life can be when someone maliciously misuses emergency services.

Beauvais gained widespread fame as a cast member of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” where she was known for her candid personality and strength in navigating both the glamorous and challenging aspects of life in the public eye.

Though she has stepped back from the show in recent seasons to focus on personal priorities, fans continue to follow her updates closely.

Police have not released information about any suspects in the swatting case, but the incident is being treated seriously given the potential danger these false reports pose.

While this episode was frightening, the outcome — with Beauvais safe and unhurt — highlights relief and resilience in the face of senseless intimidation.
