“Real Housewives of New Jersey” stars Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga recently made news when they both re-followed Danielle Staub on social media. Naturally, this led Bravo fans to speculate that the RHONJ OG may be returning to the show in some capacity as season 15 is in production. Now, she’s opening up about what it would take.
As fans know, Staub joined “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” in its first season. She then returned for season two before leaving ahead of the third. From there, she appeared on the series as a friend of from 2017 to 2020.
Danielle Staub is Open to Returning to ‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’
GettyStaub appeared on the “Legally Goff” podcast in June 2026. During the sit-down, the host mentioned that she’d recently made amends with Giudice, noting how excited fans were by the revelation. Then, the RHONJ alum was asked what it would take for her to return in some capacity.
Staub replied, “If Teresa calls upon me, yeah, I’ll go. I’ll go.” However, she then laid out her parameters, saying, “I don’t have it in my heart to do it as a full-time thing. If I turned on my business mind, yeah, I could do that, but I think at this point in my life, I really would love to just, if I do something with Teresa, is to show the growth.”
From there, she stated that an onscreen reunion with Giudice would need to be “more than a storyline,” adding, “It was to be honest. It has to be real.” After that, Staub and the podcast host discussed how much reality television has changed since the early days of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey.”
Staub continued, “These people are just trying to get a brand going. Whoever’s coming on these shows now, even if they’re called OG.” She then mentioned “The Real Housewives of Rhode Island,” saying those ladies are OGs to their show, but they’re not “Housewives” OGs. To her, the OGs are from early seasons of “Beverly Hills,” “New York,” “Atlanta,” and RHONJ.
She added, “We were at the first Bravo upfronts, so those are my OGs.”
Danielle and Teresa Giudice Recently Interacted on Social Media After Much Contention
GettyStaub has had a contentious relationship with Giudice over the years. However, they were mostly aligned during the seasons when Staub was a friend of the show. Unfortunately, this fell apart in season 10 of the show with Giudice saying she no longer wanted to be friends with her fellow RHONJ OG.
Specifically, their fallout came when Staub admitted that Giudice had told her to pull Margaret Josephs’ hair. Per PEOPLE, Staub said in an after-show, “It’s not something bad. It’s not like I said something terrible about Teresa. I’m the one that did it! So I was kind of shocked that the reaction was the way it was.”
She continued reflecting on her friendship and how she’d forgiven Giudice so many times in the past. According to Staub, “Listen, I’ve forgiven Teresa about so much. So much worse than that. She called me a [blank] in front of my children.
Flipped a table at me. I wasn’t important enough to her to forgive me — which I shouldn’t have even needed forgiveness, it should have just been understanding. ‘So yeah, big deal, Danielle said it. I did it.’ That’s all she would have had to say.”
Now, in 2026, Staub posted a photo of her daughter for her birthday. Among the comments was Giudce, who left three red heart emojis. Staub responded, “Thanks for the love, mama!!”
