Season 15 of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” has been a difficult journey for Dorit Kemsley. This is the case as a number of her friendships on the show have gone south, including her status with Erika Jayne. Recently, while promoting her book, the RHOBH star shared her hopes for their future.
Kemsley’s book, “Unburdened: A Memoir,” is being published by Podium Entertainment. It will be released on June 2.
Dorit Kemsley Hopes She and Erika Jayne Can Patch Things Up
GettyKemsley appeared on Talk Shop Live on May 6 to promote her book. While taking questions, an RHOBH fan asked if she thinks she and Jayne can get back on good terms. She began, “I really hope so. I can’t imagine that we don’t.”
After that, Kemsley noted the “history” she has with Jayne, before saying, “I love her, and I know she loves me, and gosh, you know, it’s so heartbreaking when you have a falling out.” She then began discussing the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” cast’s trip to Italy and how things fell apart for them there.
The mom of two added, “I would like to hope so” regarding them making up. She continued, “I don’t see a world in which we don’t,” before saying, “I really miss her.” As fans know, the two were not speaking when the season ended, and they have come head-to-head multiple times during the reunion thus far.
She Previously Discussed Leaving Her RHOBH Costar Stranded
GettyAs “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” fans know, Kemsley left Jayne and Kyle Richards stranded while on the cast trip to Italy. They came when the two tried to confront her over issues they’d had with her, including her tardiness.
Per Bravo, Kemsley explained in a recent after-show that she felt set up by Jayne and Richards. She claimed, “I mean, the car ride there, I had my suspicions. And then when this, this, this? I was like, ‘You know what? I’m out.'”
Regarding feeling set up by her costars, she said, “There was already this atmosphere. Kyle makes it nearly impossible [to talk alone]. She makes sure she has someone there that’s going to interject, that’s going to keep her from being able to actually answer the question directly.”
Kemsley added, “And that’s what was happening. There was a frustration. I could see at that moment—I got up very quickly. I already got it. Erika, she got pulled to the dark side [by Kyle]. It was very clear.”
Jayne also reacted during the after-show to Dorit leaving her and Richards stranded. She stated, “I did not expect her to steal the production van and go away. But, I don’t think Dorit is in a place where she wants to hear anything. I don’t know why she thinks I should stay out of it.”
Jayne continued, “She almost, like, turned on me, and I was like, ‘Whoa, whoa, whoa!” Still, the RHOBH fan-favorite says she cares about Kemsley despite their issues.
According to her, “I want a friendship with Dorit…but there are limits. And this is my limit with that. Like, you can’t tell me to be quiet and s—t like that—like, no.”
