Dr. Terry Dubrow Defends Icon Jim Carrey After Recent Reports

Celebrity plastic surgeon and “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Dr. Terry Dubrow is sharing his honest take on all the negative comments that have surrounded actor Jim Carrey.

After “The Mask” star attended the César Awards to accept his lifetime achievement César d’honneur award in Paris, France, on Feb. 26, people were quick to criticize his appearance, speculating that he had plastic surgery or even suggesting he was an impersonator.

However, Dr. Dubrow is coming to Carrey’s defense, calling the comments “uncool” and urging people to be “a little more kind” to “our national comedic treasure.”

Dr. Terry Dubrow is urging people to stop criticizing actor Jim Carrey. During his Monday, March 9, appearance on Tori Spelling’s “misSpelling” podcast, the reality star was asked his take on Carrey’s latest appearance, which has sparked massive buzz online.

“It’s like, what do you say when you’re confronted with that stuff? It’s so mean, right?” Dr. Dubrow told the host.

Dr. Dubrow agreed that Carrey looks “different,” noting that if he did get plastic surgery he may still be in the healing process because it could “take a long time to go down.” Still, Dr. Dubrow was astounded by all the negativity the actor was receiving.

“He’s kind of our national comedic treasure. Can’t we be a little more kind?” He said, adding, “Every plastic surgeon in the world is going online and talking about, ‘There’s less skin in his upper eyelids and his brows are higher,’ and they’re, like, dissecting him with a microscope, which is so unfair, I think, and uncool.”

The RHOBH star also pointed out that the disparaging comments could be affecting Carrey, saying, “So, if you’re human, it bugs you, and I just think it’s really uncool.”

Dr. Dubrow Comments on Brad Pitt’s Youthful Appearance

During the podcast episode, Dr. Dubrow also commented on Hollywood icon Brad Pitt and the actor’s seemingly ageless look at 62.

Asked if he believed Pitt had gotten plastic surgery to maintain his youthful appearance, the reality star said, “The one who’s sort of gotten away with it – and I don’t know what he’s done – but the one who sort of hasn’t aged at all, and it doesn’t look like plastic surgery, is Brad Pitt,” he told Spelling.

He continued, “Brad Pitt really looks good. And I don’t know if he’s had a facelift, but we know he has.”

Dr. Dubrow went on to share that Pitt’s overall appearance is in part due to his lifestyle change and maintaining his sobriety. However, he had a “theory” as to why Pitt’s overall look at his age was “not weird looking” compared to other men his age going under the knife.

“I just mean, why does Brad Pitt at 60, with no wrinkles and no laxity in his face, why does that look OK, whereas another male at 60 or 65 with no wrinkles and no laxity, why do they look weird? Because Brad Pitt’s looks are based on feminine beauty,” he said.

“You can have feminizing plastic surgery and it looks good,” he added, referencing other handsome celebrities like John Stamos and Rob Lowe.
