Gisele Bündchen isn’t afraid to make changes to live her best life. She married jiu-jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente in 2025, and they welcomed a baby boy. The mother of three’s oldest child is a teenager. Bündchen, 46, talked about loving the experience of having a baby at 45.
Gisele Bündchen Says Her Kids Make Her More Present
The former Victoria’s Secret model gave birth to her baby in May 2025. She also has 16-year-old Benjamin and 13-year-old Victoria, whom she shares with Tom Brady. They were married from 2009 to 2022. Bündchen has nothing but good things to say about giving birth at this stage in her life.
“Kids give us this opportunity to live again, to be more present and to experience life again. To do it maybe differently than we’ve done it before,” she told i-D. “I don’t know. I find every little thing so amazing.”
Her daughter enjoys playing volleyball. The mother signed up for a dance class with Victoria after she asked. Bündchen left Boston for Florida and slowed down on taking jobs to focus on family.
“I’m like, ‘Am I going to miss my daughter’s volleyball game? Am I going to miss going to the park with my son? Am I going to miss my son DJing?’” the mother explained. Her comments about motherhood align with her perspective on life in the same interview.
“Life is a gift,” the supermodel said. “I think I have so much joy in my life because I really see the ordinary as the extraordinary… The sun rises every day. You can walk around and be grateful for it, or you can just be disconnected from all these incredible things. You can be robbed of your life if you think life is this”—she mimics looking down at her phone—“and you forget life is so much more.”
What Bündchen Loves About Parenting
GettyThe mother recently shared a picture of the 16 month old copying her yoga move on Instagram. “It’s so sweet to see how little they are when they start watching and emulating what we do,” she wrote in the caption. “They’re learning from us even when we don’t realize it. Moments like this remind me that my actions matter more than what I say, because so much of who they’re becoming is shaped by the example they see every day.”
There is a moment in her i-D interview that is similar to this. She took the baby to the park, and the baby wanted to help her do a task.
“I mean, he’s 16 months and he saw that I was cleaning the park—because Miami, it’s so damp all the time!—and he wanted to participate and he felt really good about it,” the model explained. She showed a video of the baby drying things off with a paper towel.
The model hasn’t revealed her baby’s name to the public and avoids showing his face on social media. But she’s happy to share the sweet moments between them.
