NeNe Leakes was recently spotted indulging in a little PDA while on a date at a Memphis Grizzlies game. After the kiss was caught on video and shared online, the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum has something surprising to say about what fans may (or may not?) have seen.
“Leakes is setting the record straight when it comes to a video from her recent date,” TMZ noted while adding that “she says she didn’t kiss the guy — they only pecked!!!”
“The reality TV star took to social media to put her spin on footage we first obtained, which shows her and attorney Arthur Earl Horne III touching lips at an NBA game,” TMZ continued. “NeNe says it was just a peck … and it came after a fun night out in Memphis, Tennessee, where the booze was flowing.”
TMZ also explained that Leakes “says she’s not in a relationship with Arthur … claiming he’s just one of multiple men she plans on dating.”
Fans Reacted to NeNe Leakes (Sort of) Denying the Kiss
When Leakes stated that she hadn’t kissed Horne and, instead, they had only shared a peck, her fans had their own opinions about what they saw.
After TMZ shared a post about Leakes’ response on Instagram, social media users took to the comments to make light-hearted observations, with one person writing, “Right we totally believe you & not our eyes ….”
A second follower wrote, “Then what did I just see?”
“Ok then so now we all can sleep tonight 😂😂😂,” came from another person.
Someone else left a comment, saying, “Kiss….Peck… Whatever. Yall kissed.”
Granted, some fans think that NeNe was misunderstood, with a fan writing, “Well maybe she’s saying they kissed but he’s not a new man 😂”
NeNe Leakes Says Dating ‘Has Changed Over the Years’
GettyLeakes was married to her husband, Gregg, for almost 25 years before he passed away at 66 in 2021. While she’s started seeing men since, she told Us Weekly in July 2024, “The dating pool actually has changed over the years.”
“My husband actually courted me,” she said while talking to Us. “I don’t even think they use that word anymore. He actually picked me up with roses and chocolate and I thought it was corny at the time. But I still learned honey, that was the right way to go.”
“Everything is kind of really fast,” she also explained as she discussed finding modern romance. “You have dating apps and all of this stuff. Back in the day, you go out and you meet someone. It’s not like that anymore.”
