Andy Cohen Names Best Bravo TV Episode & It Could Pave the Way for a Former Star’s Return

Andy Cohen named a “Real Housewives”  episode that he feels is one of the best reality TV episodes in the history of the network.

Years after “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice flipped a table and “Beverly Hills” star Kim Richards taunted Lisa Rinna in Amsterdam, Cohen thinks the “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” outdid them all.

“The snow, Mormonism, and their unique history with each other make them their own universe,” Cohen told Us Weekly of the Salt Lake City cast.

He then pointed to the Season 4 finale episode “Mysteries Revealed?” as “one of the best single episodes of television in Bravo history.”

In the shocking episode, Heather Gay revealed that newcomer Monica Garcia was the mastermind behind the Reality Von Tease troll Instagram account that had been tormenting the cast for years. Garcia was promptly booted from the cast’s Bermuda trip and was not asked back to the show for Season 5.

The episode packed a powerful punch for viewers because the storyline wasn’t leaked ahead of its original airing on January 2, 2024.

Andy Cohen Admitted Monica Garcia Made for ‘Compelling Television’

After Garcia’s part in Reality Von Tease was outed, Cohen told fans on his Sirius XM show “Andy Cohen Live” that there would be a “cooling off period” for the controversial cast member. He noted that Garcia was unable to salvage things at the RHOSLC reunion, which is another thing that led to her ouster from the show.

“The reunion is the chance to come out, say why you did what you did on the season,” he explained. “It’s the Supreme Court of public opinion. Monica had the opportunity not only to explain herself to the audience, but way more importantly in this case to the other women, and I don’t think she successfully swayed any of them to her side.”

“I think that it’s best, we all discussed it ad nauseam that it would be best to kind of let this one breathe for a while,” Cohen added. “She’s obviously really compelling television. Maybe she’ll be able to build some inroads with some of the women on her own off-camera, and we’ll see if that happens.”

Cohen addressed the topic of Garcia a few months later in an interview with Deadline. When asked about the possibility of Garcia making a return to RHOSLC, he said,  “I’m a big Monica fan, but I think that’s kind of a conversation for the future.”

Does RHOSLC Need Any More Villains?

Garcia and Jen Shah were two of the biggest villains ever cast on RHOSCL. With both of them gone—Shah is serving a prison term in Texas and is set to be released in August 2026, according to People magazine—the show doesn’t have an official “villain.” But that doesn’t mean there’s not plenty of villanous behavior.

Series star Lisa Barlow told Us, “There doesn’t need to be a villain. I think we’re villainous [toward] each other at certain times based on what we’re going through and how we feel like we’re being received with our friends. That’s when there becomes a villain for the audience.”
