After one season of “Love Thy Nader,” Brooks Nader is already expanding her horizons.
On March 9, the reality star and model, who also competed on Season 33 of “Dancing with the Stars,” was announced as the newest cast member of the upcoming “Baywatch” reboot series on FOX. Set for the 2026 – 2027 season, the show will mark Nader’s first big role in acting.
Previously, per IMDb, Nader’s only acting credit was a small role in 2018’s “Backtrace” with Sylvester Stallone.
Brooks Nader Is Headed to the Small Screen
GettyAccording to the Fox announcement via People, Nader will be a series regular on the show as Selene, a “sharp-tongued Captain of the Zuma beach lifeguards.” Her main opponent will be Baywatch Captain Hobie Buchannon, played by “Arrow” star Stephen Amell.
“While she is excellent at her job, she and Baywatch Captain Hobie Buchannon have a very different approach to saving lives that is a constant source of friction,” reads the description of Nader’s character.
“Never on good terms, their relationship only goes downhill after Hobie brings his daughter Charlie [Jessica Belkin] onto his team… and it becomes clear that their rivalry goes much deeper than lifeguarding,” it concludes.
In addition to Nader, Amell and Belkin, other cast members include Hassie Harrison as Nat, Thaddeus LaGrone as Brad and David Chokachi, who is reprising his original role of Cody Madison.
Brooks Nader Has Been Manifesting the Career Shift
On Instagram, Nader finally shared the exciting news with her fans. On her Instagram Stories, she posted a picture of herself in a black hoodie reading a highlighted script. “I’ve been keeping a little secret…” she wrote.
After multiple reposts of the news from news outlets and friends, Nader looked back at her cover of the 2023 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, where she wore a “Baywatch”-inspired red one-piece. “I’ve been manifesting this for a minute @si_swimsuit,” she wrote.
The reboot series was officially slated in the fall of 2025, with Amell and Harrison joining the project in early 2026. The synopsis suggests that the show will be similar to the long-running original series that aired for 11 seasons starting in 1989.
“Fans can expect all the adrenaline-fueled rescues, tangled relationships, complicated chemistry and beachside heroics that defined the original — now with an entirely new cast, contemporary trappings, tensions and challenges, and a renewed mission to protect Southern California’s shoreline,” the official blurb reads.
