Report: ‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ Star Has Reduced Role in Season 4

With the fourth season of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” set to debut on Thursday, March 12, 2026, Hulu is beginning to ramp up promotion of the reality television series. However, one person appears to be missing from most of the promotional material, suggesting that they may have a reduced role in the upcoming batch of episodes.

Demi Engemann, who spent much of last season in conflict with the rest of MomTok, appears to be taking more of a back seat in season 4.

Demi Engemann Faces a Reduced Role in Season 4 of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives”

As first noted by Deadline, the main cast of the series have all been given executive producer credits for the fourth season. This is a common tactic to help give the cast of television shows greater control and more financial rewards.

So while Jen Affleck, Jessi Draper, Taylor Frankie Paul, Miranda Hope, Mikayla Matthews, Mayci Neeley, Whitney Leavitt, and Layla Taylor are now executive producers of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives,” that isn’t the case for Engemann.

A trailer for season 4 also hints at the fact that Engemann will play a smaller role, with Taylor seen asking her “are you done with the show all together?” after she appears to be prioritizing a career in music.

Meanwhile, Cosmopolitan cites sources that suggest that Engemann will not be part of the main cast of the show but rather billed “as a friend, rather than one of the core cast.”

Engemann spent most of the last season involved in a controversy involving herself, Draper, and Marciano Brunette of “Vanderpump Villa.” She was entirely missing from the first half of the season and had several fiery encounters with the rest of the group during her appearances and the reunion show.

Whitney Leavitt Has Been Performing on Broadway in ‘Chicago’

Some cast members of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” have been busy in the break between seasons 3 and 4, no more so than Whitney Leavitt. Following a successful stint on “Dancing With the Stars,” she landed a role in the hit Broadway musical “Chicago.”

Earlier this month, the star made her debut in the play, portraying Roxie Hart at the Ambassador Theatre

Several of her fellow “DWTS” alumni and “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” co-stars were in attendance to show their support.

Mark Ballas simply wrote “DAMN RIGHT!!!” alongside several fire emoji, while Danielle Fishel Karp replied to say, “Get it, Whit!!!”

“Dancing With the Stars” professional dancer  Lindsay Arnold Cusick replied, “WOWWWWW!!!! Just insane!!!!!!! @whitleavitt you’re amazing” and Jason Tartick wrote, “Making that transition at that speed to a Broadway lead at that level is unbelievable!!”

Colleague Jenna Leigh Miller wrote, “Being in the audience tonight with all of MomTok & DadTok was MAGICAL!”
