There’s about to be a new face in Salem. “Days of Our Lives” recently confirmed that 22-year-old Marissa Reyes is exiting the role of Arianna Horton, with a recast already set to take over.
Reyes first stepped into the role in April 2025, with her final episode airing on March 26, 2026.
Now, the role of Arianna Horton is being taken over by Vico Escorcia, who is set to make her debut on Wednesday, April 8, 2026.
Ahead of her “DOOL” debut, here are five fast facts about the rising soap star.
1. Vico Escorcia Is From Mexico
Salem’s new Arianna Horton is a native of Mexico. The 29-year-old was born in Mexico City, Mexico, on June 14, 1996. She is of French and Mexican descent. Escorcia is also fluent in three languages: English, Spanish, and French. Her full name is Victoria Escorcia, but she has worked under the stage name Vico Escorcia throughout her career.
2. “Days of Our Lives” Will Mark Vico Escorcia’s Soap Opera Debut
Vico Escorcia has never starred on a soap opera before. Her entry into Salem will mark her daytime debut. Luckily for the budding soap star, she will be set up for some pretty good storylines, portraying Arianna Horton, a character with deep ties to two of the show’s core families, the Hortons and the Bradys.
3. Vico Escorcia Is an Award Winning Actress
While “DOOL” might mark Escorcia’s daytime debut, the actress has already built an established career. In fact, she received a Silver Goddess Award for her performance in “Los Crimenes de Mar del Norte.” The Silver Goddess Award is the equivalent of the Golden Globes in Mexico. Escorcia has also been nominated for two Ariel Awards, the Mexican equivalent of the Oscars.
4. Vico Escorcia Has Appeared In a Netflix Film
Escorcia had a role in the 2023 Netflix film, “Que Viva México!” She played Bartola, a supporting role in the satirical ensemble comedy.
5. Vico Escorcia Has Worked With Other Soap Stars
Despite “DOOL” marking Escorcia’s daytime debut, this won’t be the actress’s first time working with other soap stars. Escorcia appeared on the Apple TV+ comedy series “Acapulco” alongside Jessica Collins. 55-year-old Collins starred as Dinah Mayberry on the ABC soap “Loving” from 1991 to 1994. More recently, she appeared on “The Young and the Restless.” She starred as Avery Bailey Clark, a high-powered attorney and the sister of Phyllis Summers, from 2011 to 2015.
Hopefully Escorcia picked up some daytime tips from her “Acapulco” co-star because her Salem debut is set up to be juicy. Her character, Arianna Horton, is set to be involved in multiple storylines.
Ari is currently romantically tied to Liam Selejko, portrayed by Hank Northrop, who is secretly involved in criminal activity connected to the DiMera family and Vivian Alamain.
“DOOL” fans can expect to see Escorcia share some of her first scenes with Northrop as the drama in Salem continues to unfold.
