Marissa Reyes Speaks Out on ‘Days of Our Lives’ Exit

Due to the advanced filming schedule for the soap, Reyes filmed her final episode as Ari last summer. However, it’s only now that her last episode has arrived.

In honor of her officially leaving “Days of Our Lives,” Reyes used social media to reflect on her time on the show and to break her silence on her exit. The soap star posted a carousel of black-and-white photos and videos from set.

One video features Reyes dancing around on the set of Ari and Holly’s (Ashley Puzemis) dorm room set. There were also videos of Puzemis and Reyes being silly, as well as Reyes having fun with Hank Northrop (Liam). Reyes also posted photos of her glam team, her name tag on her dress, and her getting into Ari mode.

In her caption, Reyes revealed the moments are from her final day on set of the hit Peacock soap.

“It has been an absolute honor to be a part of such a legacy, and I am overwhelmed with gratitude for what this opportunity has taught and given me. Although it was my choice—and mine alone—to make my exit from the show, I will always look back on this chapter with complete and honest gratitude and affection. It’s bittersweet to see the end of this chapter, but I am over the moon excited to welcome in the next. Here’s to what’s coming!!” she ended her caption.

Reyes didn’t confirm what is next for her, but one thing has already been revealed. The actress is reprising her role as Sofia in the Kate Hudson Netflix show “Running Point.” Season 2 of the comedy drops on the streaming service on April 23.

“You bring sunshine into every room, and it was an absolute privilege and joy to work with you,” Northrop shared, adding that he knows Reyes is a “superstar” and he can’t wait to see what her future holds.

Puzemis, who has also confirmed her exit from “Days of Our Lives,” called Reyes her “soul sister for life.” The actress declared, “The best thing this show brought me was our friendship.” Like Northrop, Puzemis also thinks Reyes is a superstar.
