Susan Lucci Turns 79 & Looks Gorgeous — See Her Now!

Actress and absolute icon Susan Lucci turns 79 years old today, Tuesday, December 23.

To mark the special occasion, one of the star’s friends, Stacey Feinberg, the US Ambassador to the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, took to Instagram to share a photo of herself with Lucci. In the caption, she wrote, “Happy Birthday to My Dear Friend Susan who is just as Beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside 💖 🎂”

See Susan Over the Last Year

As Lucci turns another year old, let’s check out the actress over the past year.

On January 30, Lucci attended the American Heart Association’s Red Dress Collection Concert in New York City. Sure to dress on-theme, the star wore a red gown that shone for the camera.

On Valentine’s Day, Lucci made an appearance at the SNL50: The Homecoming Concert at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. Opting for a black long-sleeved top that left her shoulders bare and looked wonderfully fuzzy, she also wore a layered skirt and a few key accessories to complete the look.

Lucci smiled for the cameras while attending “Joy Behar, Susan Lucci, Sherri Shepherd and Judy Gold In Conversation: My First Ex-Husband” at 92NY on March 19.

Susan Doesn’t Want Older People to Count Themselves Out

If it looks like Lucci is enjoying life, that’s because she is! Indeed, when she talked to People in June 2024, she noted that those who are getting older should not “count [themselves] out.”

“[D]on’t count yourself out. Don’t assume the worst,” she said. “Keep on being you.”

Beyond that, the star shared how her mother, who passed away in June 2021, helped to shape her perception of aging, saying, “I remember when I turned 60. I called my mother. I was having a lot of trouble with that particular number, and I called my mother and I said, ‘Mom, how did you deal with it? And how are you dealing with now?’”

She recalled, “And there was a little pause on the other end and she said, ‘Well, I just don’t think about it.’ And I thought, you know what? That is the best answer anyone could give me. … Don’t put any labels on yourself. Don’t let the number define you.”
