“The Young and the Restless” star Camryn Grimes is mourning a heartbreaking loss in the family.
On Friday, December 19, the actress took to Instagram to share the passing of her beloved cat. Grimes, who plays Mariah Copeland on the longrunning CBS soap, opened up about the grief of losing her fur baby.
“My Bagheera, Bagooroo, Baggy… I don’t even know what to say,” the actress wrote. “You know, with having and caring for animals, there are losses you know are coming, and then I guess some that come out of nowhere and gut punch you.”
Grimes went on to gush about the black feline, saying, “If you were never a cat person, Bagheera could’ve swayed you. I called him my ‘liquid cat’ because he just melted into whatever form you took. The purest of souls, the most goodest boy. We love you, buddy. Say hi to Riley for us.”

In November, Grimes married her longtime love, Brock Powell, after three years of engagement. The couple tied the knot in an “intimate” ceremony at the Columns Hotel in New Orleans.
“Travel is very important to both of us,” the couple told PEOPLE at the time. “We wanted our friends and family to feel like they’re on an adventure with us — a few days to explore a new place, eat some incredible food, and take in everything New Orleans has to offer. And at the end, throw an incredible party and thank them for their support and love!”
The couple’s destination wedding was attended by approximately 75 guests, including “The Young and the Restless” star Hayley Erin (Claire Newman) and “General Hospital” alum Robert Palmer Watkins (ex-Dillon Quartermaine).
Following the wedding, Grimes and Powell have been enjoying their family life, along with their son. Just last week, the couple celebrated their child’s second birthday.
