VIDEO: William Shatner Issues Emotional Message to Fans From His Home 

At 95, William Shatner is still making his voice heard — not just in celebration, but in advocacy.

The legendary actor marked his milestone birthday with a mix of humor and heartfelt reflection, while also delivering a serious message about protecting animals and the planet.

In a recently shared video filmed from his home, Shatner spoke candidly about his longtime support for PETA and the urgent need for change.

His tone was calm but direct as he urged viewers to take responsibility.

“I just want to say that PETA is terrific. The animals that took millions of years, in some cases, billions of years, to evolve and be part of the environment, they’re dying because of man,” he said. “It’s tragic.”

Shatner continued by zooming out to the bigger picture, tying animal welfare to the health of the planet itself.

“This beautiful planet that is so gorgeous and so interconnected, we’re killing it, and we have a chance to stop that,” he added.

The message struck a more serious note amid what was otherwise a celebratory weekend for the actor, who has remained active and engaged well into his 90s.


Shatner Just Celebrated His 95th Birthday

To mark the occasion, Shatner also shared a lighthearted post on Instagram, offering fans a glimpse into his birthday festivities. 

Alongside a pair of recent photos taken by his daughter, Lisabeth Shatner, he kept things playful.

“At 95, I’m still smokin’! 😝,” he captioned the post, showing that his sense of humor is very much intact.

In one of the images he was sampling a cigar. 

He also took a moment to reflect on the lessons he’s picked up over the years, sharing advice that blended wit with a bit of his signature irreverence.

“I’ve learned two things: Never waste a good cigar. Never trust anyone who says you should ‘act your age.’ 😉👍🏻,” he wrote.

Of course, Shatner’s legacy stretches far beyond social media.

He remains best known for his iconic role as Captain James T. Kirk in “Star Trek: The Original Series,” a character he first brought to life in 1966.

He went on to reprise the role across multiple films, cementing his place as one of the most recognizable figures in science fiction history.
