‘Survivor’ Cast Reveal Most Embarrassing Moments

Like with any reality television show, “Survivor” is jam-packed with a range of emotions. One moment, contestants might be on a euphoric high after winning a challenge, but in the next, they could find themselves humiliated after making a silly mistake. However, the cast of season 49 proves that embarrassment can strike at any moment. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, the castaways have shed light on the most embarrassing things they have done in their lives.

‘Survivor’ Season 49 Cast Discuss Embarrassing Stories

The cast has previously discussed their hot takes about “Survivor” in interviews before filming on the season began. This time around, though, the answers give more insight into the personal lives of the contestants along with their unique senses of humor.

For Jason Treul, it was the time when he was young in high school and was drinking with his friends. After getting back home with the designated driver, Treul explains that he proceeded to “projectile vomit all over the window, and the guy sitting next to me immediately does the same thing because I was so gross that it made him do it.”

Sophie Segreti revealed a time when she was working in her office alone and after a particularly gassy lunch spent the afternoon farting. Unfortunately, one of her co-workers had to keep coming into the room, leaving her “forever scarred.”

Steven Ramm recounted a story from his graduation ceremony where he did a cartwheel on stage in bright orange trousers, while Alex Moore remembered the time he was rejected by a girl in front of his entire class at school.

For Matt Williams, his most embarrassing moment occurred when he was staying in a hotel and trying to find his toilet in the dark when he accidentally opened the wrong door.  He said: “I had walked into the hallway butt naked. I turned around and grabbed the knob, and I’d locked myself out of my room.”

Savannah Louie spoke about the time she fell down 30 stairs as a freshman in college in front of her crush and  Nicole Mazullo told the outlet about when she peed her pants in eighth grade while riding the school bus, with the liquid rolling down the bus onto the driver’s feet.

Jeff Probst Doubts Golden ‘Survivor’ Season Would Work

Speaking earlier this month, Jeff Probst revealed that he doesn’t think a golden version of “Survivor” in the same vein as “The Golden Bachelor” would be successful. While discussing viewer questions on his podcast, the longtime host and producer explained why he doesn’t think that the format would necessarily work.

“Here’s the truth as I see it,” explains Probst. “Based on the number of people over, let’s say 50, who apply and who we believe are interesting and compelling enough to be on the show and we believe can truly handle the intense physicality — I think if you just limited it to 50-and-over casting, it would be difficult to do two times per year. You’re looking at 40 people. I just don’t think it would work, personally.”

“In the same way that I would miss it if one gender wasn’t on the show and we just did all women or all men. I think it’s that clash and the collaboration, the unexpected partnerships and learning about each other, that’s a big part of our format.”

  1. I agree, you have to keep the variety of people to keep it interesting for everyone. I have loved the show from the start. Even got to wait on Rudy from season one at the fine dining restaurant I worked at in Racine WI.. He liked catsup on his fried fish. He also was told he had to drink a flavor of beer in public for promotional reasons but didn’t really care for it. I told him I’d run down to the corner store and buy him the kind he liked and pore it in the promo. Beer bottle. He liked that. I told him my family always thought I should apply to be on the show. He said you should, just go do it. Time marched on and now I’m too old. I’m 66. Wished I would have done it back then.
