The current cast of “Survivor” season 49 have revealed who they would pick to appear in the upcoming anniversary special for season 50. Speaking before they entered the island to start their time on the reality television series, the group chose their dream cast for the 50th season.
‘Survivor’ 49 Cast Picks Dream Cast For Season 50
The cast revealed their picks in an exclusive article with Entertainment Weekly before they entered the island for the current season. The castaways have already discussed their hot takes for the show and spilled the tea on their most embarrassing moments, but have now given their opinion on who they think would have been perfect for season 50.
For Sage Ahrens-Nichols, there’s only one person she has in mind and that’s Shirin Oskooi. The reason being that she thinks that the former player would do well in the more modern version of the game and because she “absolutely loves her.”
Similarly, Alex Moore picks another old school player in the form of Amanda Kimmel, saying, “I have so much respect for her gameplay and doing that back-to-back must have been insane.” Meanwhile, Sophie Segreti is “all in on Rachel [Lamont]” because “she was so fun to watch play.”
For Jawan Pitts, the best player for season 50 would be Sean Rector. He said, “One of my favorite moments in Survivor history is when he goes on the reward challenge with Paschal, and he’s on the donkey.”
Annie Davis’ choice is Kenzie Petty due to the fact that “she was a really cool player and she was just a nice person and I like that,” while Jason Treul wants Randy Bailey to return, who he describes as “such a stinky old grandpa about things.”
The Rest of the Cast Make Their Picks
Sophi Balerdi was matter-of-fact when she named Vecepia Towery Robinson, saying, “he’s underrated and she hasn’t gotten another chance to do it. ”Rizo Velovic chose DK Chillin — otherwise known as Dean Kowalski — for season 50, claiming that the season 39 contestant would bring some much-needed “comedic relief.”
Jake Latimer, whose time on “Survivor” was cut short after a snake bite attack, decided to go with Joe Hunter from season 48. The main reason is because of the similarities that Latimer sees between himself and Hunter. “We’re both in law enforcement.,” he explains. “He’s a firefighter. I’m corrections, but just his character and how he goes about the game and goes about life — he puts everyone else before him. I do the exact same thing at home. I put everyone else before me, and someone like that should have another chance.”
Nate Moore wants Chrissy Hofbeck in the upcoming season, mainly because of the way that she showed real change as the season progressed. He said, “She started that season as I would argue, an uptight, white collar lady who I thought had a great transformation into finding her own power.”
The record-setting Michelle “MC” Chukwujekwu opted for Christian Hubicki, arguing that the contestant “makes for great television” and goes on to reveal, “I’m attracted to intelligence, and I’ve never seen a more attractive man than Christian.”
