It has been a rough time for one particular tribe on “Survivor” season 49. The Kele Tribe is down to only two castaways on “Survivor” 2025, but it looks like a tribe swap tonight on “Survivor” will shake things up for these castaways.
Jeff Probst will then put these new tribes to the test during a grueling Immunity Challenge on “Survivor” 2025. Time for another week of challenges and backstabbing, but who gets voted off “Survivor” 49 tonight? Find out during our “Survivor” season 49 live recap below!
Tribe Swap Tonight on ‘Survivor’
Tonight’s episode of “Survivor” 2025 is titled “Go Kick Rocks, Bro.” The Kele Tribe only has two castaways remaining, so they can’t compete with only two people. That means Jeff is going to be switching things up.
In the sneak peek from CBS, we see Sophi and Nate talking about missing their families. It shows Nate is on the Hina Tribe, which he was on Uli before. I was wondering if they would just have Alex and Sophi draw to see which tribe they would join, or if they would all pick new buffs. It looks like they’ll all pick new buffs tonight for the tribe swap. Find out who got eliminated on “Survivor” season 49 tonight during our “Survivor” live recap below.

Then There Were Two
We are back at the Kele Tribe, and it’s just Alex and Sophi. They said they are in it to win it, just the two of them. They are still shocked that they are only two, but they said this could be the start of their underdog story, and it can go up from here. In the middle of the night, the ocean took out their boat and Sophi’s shoe, so it could get worse!
Day 7 of ‘Survivor’ Season 49
We are at 14 castaways, so we are switching tribes! The Kele Tribe is celebrating the end of their tribe! They draw new buffs, and the new tribes are:
- Yellow (Hina): Rizo, Jawan, Nate, Savanah, Matt, Jason, and Sophi (4 Uli, 2 Hina, and 1 Kele)
- Blue (Kele): Steven Christina, MC, Sophie, Shannon, Sage, and Alex (4 Hina, 2 Uli, and 1 Kele)
For Yellow, they are going to the beach that has everything from the Hina Tribe. For Blue, they are going to the beach that has nothing from the Kele Tribe, so some of these castaways are going from having everything to now having nothing!
Time For New Camps
The castaways head to their new camps. Rizo does have the Beware Advantage, so he is worried about not having a vote, but he is excited to have an advantage at the new Hina Tribe.
Over at the new Kele Tribe on “Survivor” 49, Alex said he is embarrassed to have them come and see their camp. They start introducing themselves, and everyone is having a good time.
On Hina, Sophi knows there are four Uli’s on her tribe now, and it has been a battle between the old Uli and Hina. She is trying to align with them to keep herself safe for when the merge happens. She starts talking to everyone. Sophi and Savannah are the only females on the tribe, so they want to stick together.
Adjusting on ‘Survivor’ 2025
Alex is trying to take in his new Kele Tribe. They go through meditation with Shannon, but Steven said she is a shark and he doesn’t trust her.
Back to Hina, Sophi and Nate share a moment about family and missing them, as Nate dreamed about his kids the night before. Then Svannah tried to talk with Jason and Nate to get a vibe about the Hina Tribe and if she could work with them now that they are here. Matt works at the airport, but before that, he worked in finance and was a higher-up. Savannah thinks this is a bad thing, and they can’t trust him.
Over on Kele, Christina and Shannon connect. Shannon is all about Jesus, but Sage thinks it’s all performative.
Immunity Challenge on ‘Survivor’ Season 49
The tribes will work through obstacles to obtain and deliver a set of cubes. Once all the cubes are in their proper place, they will work together to stack the cubes 20 high. The first tribe to complete their stack will win immunity and a reward, which is a bunch of fruit!
Kele gets out to an early lead, and they are the first tribe to start stacking the cubes. They are ahead, but Hina comes back strong and gets things back to even. However, both tribes are struggling to get the final blocks up there because of the height. They tried different ways, but Kele finally figures it out and gets their final two blocks on and back to the mat. For the first time, the Kele Tribe has won immunity, and they are not going to Tribal Council tonight on “Survivor” season 49. Meanwhile, the Hina Tribe will be heading to Tribal tonight.
The Search Is On
Back at Hina, Rizo has the Beware Advantage. However, he loses his vote until the idol is found. Savannah, Nate, and Jawan are at the well, so they start digging and find the clue for Rizo. They give the map to Rizo, who then goes out searching, and he finds the idol. He now has a Hidden Immunity Idol and a vote at tonight’s Tribal. They start talking, trying to figure out whether it will be Matt or Jason getting voted off tonight.
Matt and Jason seem to be the targets. Jason tells the old Uli members that he’s going to use his shot in the dark at Tribal, which doesn’t sit well with Savannah. Meanwhile, Matt talks with Jawan, who both went on the Journey Challenge. He wants to work with Jawan, and have him, Jawan, Sophi, and Jason vote Nate out. Jawan agrees, but then goes back to the other Uli members and tells them.
Back and forth on Matt or Jason, so let’s just go to Tribal already!
Tribal Council on ‘Survivor’ 49
Besides Sophi, no one on this new Hina Tribe has been to Tribal Council this season. While the old Uli Tribe seems to be controlling things tonight, will that be how it plays out tonight? There is a lot of talk about Jason being more Team Old Hina and Matt maybe being more sporadic. However, Matt wanted to target Nate, so he seems focused on that.
RESULTS: The votes have been tallied, and the person voted off tonight and with four votes, Matt has been voted off “Survivor” season 49 tonight.
