Here we are, just hours away from the “Survivor” 50 premiere on CBS. This highly anticipated season, featuring 24 returning castaways, is set to air its grand three-hour premiere episode tonight, Wednesday, February 25, at 8:00 p.m. ET. “Survivor” has been preparing us for this season, as host Jeff Probst has said it’s not “going to be a gentle season.” What can fans expect from “Survivor” 2026? Meet the Tribes of ‘Survivor’ Season 50
The “Survivor” 50 castaways were announced in December 2025. We will have 24 returning castaways making their way to Fiji for this epic season.
We have fan favorites, challenge beasts, and die-hard fans of the show. They are all competing again to be named the “Sole Survivor.”
For this season, the 24 castaways will start the season on three different tribes: Cila, Kalo, and Vatu. We are taking a closer look at who’s on each of this season’s three starting tribes below.
Who’s on the Cila Tribe?
CBSWe start with the eight castaways assigned to the Cila Tribe on “Survivor” 2026. These castaways are:
- Joseph “Joe” Hunter – Finished second on “Survivor” 48
- Savannah Louie – Winner of “Survivor” 49
- Christian Hubicki – Finished seventh on “Survivor: David vs. Goliath.”
- Cirie Fields – Finished fourth on “Survivor: Panama,” third on “Survivor: Micronesia,” 17th on “Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains,” and sixth on “Survivor: Game Changers.”
- Oscar “Ozzy” Lusth – Finished second on “Survivor: Cook Islands,” ninth on “Survivor: Micronesia,” fourth on “Survivor: South Pacific,” and 12th on “Survivor: Game Changers.”
- Emily Flippen – Finished seventh on “Survivor” 45
- Rick Devens – Finished fourth on “Survivor: Edge of Extinction.”
- Jenna Lewis-Dougherty – Finished eighth on “Survivor: Borneo” and third on “Survivor: All-Stars.”

‘Survivor’ 50 Premiere Details
This is going to be an epic season, especially with these standout castaways. This season’s theme is “In the Hands of the Fans,” in which fans were asked questions about this upcoming season. Now those answers are going to put these castaways to the test,
The synopsis for tonight’s episode states: “The theme of the season, ‘In the Hands of the Fans,’ quickly materializes as decisions from the fan vote swiftly and forcefully impact the game. Castaways reflect on how much they have changed since the last time they played the game.”
However, things might get scary for one castaway, as the synopsis states, “an unforeseen injury during the first Immunity Challenge.” This “causes tribemates to rethink their attack strategy to support their team member, on the historic three-hour season premiere of ‘Survivor 50.’”
We have three hours of action tonight, so there will be a lot of twists and turns while we watch.
