Nearly a decade after he competed for the heart of “Bachelorette” Rachel Lindsay, Peter Kraus welcomed his first child with wife Hana Ostapchuk Kraus.
The couple shared the exciting news, along with the first photos of their baby girl, on Tuesday, March 17.
‘Bachelorette’ Alum Peter Kraus Is a Dad
Kraus, who married Ostapchuk in December, shared a series of photos of his newborn daughter.
“Our sweet Andie girl is here,” the joint caption began. “Born on Saturday afternoon, just hours before the biggest blizzard of the season – just as it was almost 40 years ago on Peter’s birthday.”
“We each prayed for this baby girl long before we ever met. We talked about the idea of her since our first date. To now have her here – healthy, happy, and bundled – is the greatest gift,” the couple continued. “Thank you God for this answered prayer. Thank you to the incredible nurses and staff at Meriter Hospital for such a beautiful birthing experience. And thank you to our parents, who were there for her arrival and continue to support us every single day.”
They concluded, “It truly takes a village – and we are so grateful for ours. You are already so deeply loved, sweet Andie. Our little Pi Day baby 🥧 We love you endlessly.”
The New Parents Were Flooded With Love
Fans and friends flooded the comments section of the joint announcement post with love for the new parents.
“So happy for you guys, can’t wait to meet her! I was praying for more mustache and was not disappointed,” one friend wrote.

Peter Kraus’ Journey to Find Love
“Bachelor” fans will remember the heartbreaking moment Rachel ended her relationship with Peter during the season finale of season 17. Peter was unready to propose to the then “Bachelorette,” leading her to accept a proposal from Bryan Abasolo.
Peter returned to his home state of Wisconsin, where he spent years dedicating his time to his passion projects: Owning gyms.
In July 2025, he and Hana announced their engagement after one year of dating.
“Throughout it all, it was always you. I just had to find you. I love you,” he captioned his announcement. Words cannot express the love and happiness we feel. Last night was truly magical and only possible because of an amazing support system of incredible people in our lives! We are so thankful.”
