Soon-to-be “Bachelorette” Taylor Frankie Paul is in some hot water, but her reality TV suitors are coming to her defense.
Ahead of the season 22 premiere on March 22, recent allegations of abuse during the filming of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” season 5 have reportedly halted production on the series. But as the investigation involving Paul and her ex Dakota Mortensen is currently underway, the contestants of her season are speaking out.
‘Bachelorette’ Contestants Are Defending Taylor Frankie Paul
According to TMZ, who first broke the news about the allegations against Paul, the contestants of season 22 are “blindsided” by the abuse allegations against the reality star.
Per the source, who spoke to multiple contestants of the upcoming season, the reported claims are completely different to the woman they got to know. “They all described her as kind, genuine, and well-intentioned,” the source said. “Saying they saw a softer, more authentic side of her during filming that doesn’t match the accusations.”
Contestants also claimed Paul entered the show with a “pure heart” believing it was “the right thing for herself.” “They also described her as consistently pleasant to be around, noting their interactions showed a version of her they believe people aren’t seeing right now,” the source said.
As a result, the contestants are asking the public not to “rush to judgment,” believing that the “full truth” will absolve the mom of three from any wrongdoing.
Taylor Frankie Paul Is Currently Under Investigation
ABCAccording to multiple sources, the situation started when a fight broke out between Paul and Mortensen. “[It’s] unclear exactly what sparked the fight, but our sources say the situation became intense enough that filming couldn’t continue as planned,” a source told TMZ.
It’s also unclear how long production will be paused as they are “taking the matter seriously and handling with caution.”
“They are not filming,” a source echoed to People. “Paul has some pretty serious stuff happening regarding her past, and they will see what happens. Until that resolves, they are off.”
A spokesperson for the Draper City Police Department confirmed that there is an open “domestic assault investigation” involving Paul and Mortensen. “Allegations have been made in both directions,” the statement clarified, adding that “contact was made with involved parties on [Feb] 24th and 25th.” The spokesperson declined to share more amid the ongoing investigation.
In the meantime, Paul’s season of “The Bachelorette” is set to premiere on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC. Episodes will stream the next day on Hulu.

There is so much advertising of her on the show, I thought it was over by now. I don’t get it. Was Morison on the show??
