Production on Season 5 of the “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” has been paused due to an incident involving Taylor Frankie Paul and her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, and now, two members of Hulu’s hit show are bravely speaking out.
Layla Taylor shared an emotional statement on her Instagram story, writing, “My personal history as a survivor makes it impossible for me to stay silent. I stand firmly against domestic violence in any form.”
“I am keeping her children in my thoughts, hoping for their safety above all else,” she concluded
Her fellow “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” co-star Miranda McWhorter also posted a message on her Instagram story.
“I’ve honestly been a little at a loss for words trying to process this all. Everything has been really heavy to see. Domestic violence and abuse of any kind is something I take very seriously,” she wrote. “As a human, and especially a mother, I cannot support that kind of behavior. My heart is with the children in this and I hope they’re safe, supported, and surrounded by love.”
According to TMZ, it’s unclear how long production on the show will be paused for because Hulu is “taking the matter seriously and handling with caution.”
ABC Canceled Taylor Frankie Paul’s Season Of ‘The Bachelorette’
On Thursday, March 19, ABC decided to cancel Paul’s season of “The Bachelorette” which was set to premiere on Sunday, March 22, after a video involving Paul and Mortensen was released.
“In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of ‘The Bachelorette’ at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family,” the network said in a statement to TMZ.

GettyIn a new report from NBC News, the cast of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” were concerned about Paul. Specifically, her co-stars had a 30-minute Zoom call on March 7 with three Disney executives, in which they “voiced their concerns over the future of their careers, the show’s brand,” as well as the situation involving Paul.
“It’s a dangerous situation, it’s a sad situation, and we don’t know how to navigate it, because Taylor is our friend,” a cast member said on the call according to the outlet.
With that, some of her co-stars also mentioned “distressing” and “upsetting” videos they had seen of Paul.
