Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of “The Bachelorette” was just a few days from airing, but ABC decided to pull the plug due to a video that came out regarding the “Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star and her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen.
While the show has already been filmed, viewers will not get to watch Paul’s journey. However, insider Reality Steve have provided some details on the season, revealing what happened in the finale.

Who Wins ‘The Bachelorette’?
22 men went on “The Bachelorette” looking for love with Taylor Frankie Paul, but in the end, only one man was down on his knee asking the reality star for her hand in marriage.
And according to Reality Steve, the winner was Doug Mason, who is a 28-year-old ocean lifeguard from San Diego.
Along with Mason, Shane Parton, a 28-year-old private wealth planner, made it to the finale.
Are Taylor and Doug Still Together?
While the couple did get engaged, it didn’t last long, as Reality Steve reports that they broke up roughly a month after the finale. It happened when Doug traveled to Utah to visit her after filming was over, and the reason is connected to her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen.
“As pretty much everyone had been saying since the second she was announced as the ‘Bachelorette,’ Taylor was never over Dakota,” Reality Steve wrote. “And it was just revealed to the public in ep 10 of Secret Lives, that she slept with Dakota the night before leaving for filming.”
He further adds that it was Taylor who ended the engagement.
Why ABC Decided To Cancel ‘The Bachelorette’
ABCOn Thursday, March 19, ABC announced that Paul’s season of “The Bachelorette” would no longer premiere as a lot of news had surfaced over the last week. But what led to the network making the decision was a video involving Paul and her ex, Dakota Mortensen, that was released.
“In light of the newly released video just surfaced today, we have made the decision to not move forward with the new season of ‘The Bachelorette’ at this time, and our focus is on supporting the family,” A Disney Entertainment spokesperson told TMZ.
A spokesperson for Paul also spoke out, releasing a statement to PEOPLE in which they said, “Taylor is very grateful for ABC’s support as she prioritizes her family’s safety and security,” the statement said.
