It’s hometowns’ week on “The Golden Bachelor” with Mel Owens, 66, meeting the family and friends of his final three women: Debbie, 65, Cindy, 60, and Peg, 62.
Last week, viewers were stunned when Carol chose to leave the show, and at the rose ceremony, Owens said goodbye to Cheryl and this season’s “villain”, Nicolle. But Owens seems content with his final three as episode 6 will see him flying across the country to Denver, Austin, and Las Vegas to see where the ladies call home. Can Owens see his life with one of these remaining contestants after his visits?

Mel Owens Kicks Off Hometown Dates With Peg in Las Vegas
“The Golden Bachelor” episode 6 doesn’t waste any time going into hometowns week. Mel Owens’ first stop is Las Vegas, where he will get to see how Peg lives. Owens has shared how much he loves Peg’s energy and how she makes him feel young again, and hopefully, she’ll continue to show that as he visits her.
Peg takes Owens to the firehouse where she used to work. She introduces him to all the firefighters, and he gets to learn a lot more about her accomplishments, like how she worked as a bomb technician, so cool!
“Today was the real deal. Peg is amazing,” Owens shares to the cameras.
Owens then meets Peg’s entire family, including her daughter, Dakota, her mother, her brother, and their partners. They share loads of laughs, but Peg’s brother takes him aside for a private talk. He wants to make sure Owens is the real deal and really appreciates Peg. Meanwhile, Peg talks to her mother and shares that she would say yes if Owens asked for her hand in marriage.
Owens sits down with Dakota, and she hits him with the hard questions. Owens shares that he loves Peg’s “energy,” but he doesn’t offer much more than that. He is honest when he says that he isn’t “in love” with her mother yet, but he might once they get to know each other further. Unfortunately, given how quickly things move on the show, time isn’t exactly on their side.
Thankfully, Owens is understanding that Peg’s daughter is only looking out for her mom.
“After this hometown, I saw a different side of Mel interacting with my family … I didn’t want the day to end. I really do feel that we have a special connection,” Peg shares, adding that she is “nervous” that he has two more hometowns.
Owens Heads to Denver to Meet With Debbie
Owens’ second hometown takes him to Denver, where he meets up with Debbie. “Debbie is a person I can see a life with after this,” he tells the cameras. “I’m looking forward to seeing a whole different side of her today.”
Debbie takes the lead to Red Rocks, and the two enjoy a hike together. Debbie shares more about her personal life, including how she questioned marrying someone in her 50s. Sadly, just weeks after she ended things with him, he took his own life, and Debbie admits it made her pause dating. “I admire her spirit,” Owens shares, adding that he was happy that she opened up to him.
The two meet Debbie’s family, which includes her siblings and their significant others. Owens tosses a football with the men, and he shares how much he loves Debbie’s personality.
“He is very sincere. Every time we’re together, it gets better and better,” Debbie tells one of her sisters. It’s great to see Debbie’s entire family supporting her. “I came in here having a good connection with Debbie, but after today, the connection has gotten stronger,” Owens says.
Owens’ Last Hometown Visit Takes Him to Austin to See Cindy
Finally, Owens lands in Austin and meets with Cindy. She wants Owens to meet her three daughters, and they decide to gather together at a restaurant.
“I’m incredibly proud of my mom for stepping into this journey,” one of Cindy’s daughters shares. “There are other women still in this process, and I’m worried she could get to the end of this and get her heart broken.”
Cindy sits down with two of her daughters and admits to having big feelings for him. She even shares that she would move to California to be with him, proving just how serious she is about this journey.
Meanwhile, Owens sits down with Cindy’s daughter, and she also doesn’t hold back with her questions. She can sense that Owens is holding back on answering them, which leaves her feeling uneasy.
Cindy tells her daughter that she might love Owens, and that scares her, knowing that there are two other women in the mix.
Cindy and Owens end their day at Cindy’s home in downtown Austin. “I know I feel the big L for Mel,” she admits. However, she tells Owens that her children question his intentions, and she wants to know his true feelings. He doesn’t assure her, though. “I don’t use the word love lightly,” he tells the camera.
So far, Owens has mastered keeping the women and their families wondering where they stand.
The Final Rose Ceremony
The three women meet for the final rose ceremony, and none of them is certain where they stand with Owens. Only two women will receive roses tonight.
The women who receive roses and will continue their journeys with Owens are Peg and Cindy. That means Debbie goes home.
Before Owens and the remaining two contestants head to Antigua, viewers will tune in to The Women Tell All, airing on Oct. 29.
