Debbie Siebers on ‘The Golden Bachelor’: 5 Fast Facts You Need to Know

Finally, the Hometown Dates on “The Golden Bachelor” Season 2 have arrived! This week, on Wednesday, October 22, fans will get to see Mel Owens go on Hometown Dates with 60-year-old Cindy Cullers from Austin, Texas, 62-year-old Peg Munson from Las Vegas, Nevada, and 65-year-old Debbie Siebers from Little Chute, Wisconsin.

All of these women are great, and there has been much speculation about who Owen’s final pick will be. Ahead of the finale, it’s time to get to know Siebers. Here are five fast facts to know.

She Feels Grateful

Debbie has spoken about her journey on “The Golden Bachelor” and how she feels grateful to have been a part of it. “I still can’t believe it. I feel so grateful and, honestly, very surprised — but super happy about it,” Debbie told Us Weekly on October 16 about making it to the Hometown Dates. “It would make my whole life experience just wrapped up in a big fat bow,” she said of receiving the final rose.

Debbie Has Never Been Married

Owens is divorced from the mother of his children, but Debbie has never been married. “I hate the stigma attached to that, but if it was to be me, how wonderful would that be for my fairy tale ending,” she said. “It would just be absolutely incredible. I feel like I would have to pinch myself because it would be so magical.”

She continued, “I gave up on the whole idea of ever getting married at this point in my life, and so just a thought of that being a possibility, I’m afraid to even let myself go there [and] really dream and hope that big. But if it did, I know so many people would be happy for me.”

She Is Friends With the Other Women

Finding love in front of the television cameras is an unusual thing to do, and despite competing for the affection of the same man, the women on “The Golden Bachelor” have bonded through this unique experience.

“Our bond is like no other because all of us have been through so much in our lives,” Debbie said of connecting with the other women on “The Golden Bachelor.” “We all took this giant risk and put ourselves out there and [that] just says so much, like, we’re not going to give up on love or life. We are courageous, and this is a bond that’s going to last a lifetime.”

Debbie previously gave a glimpse into the “sisterhood” she shares with Peg when she posted a video on Facebook claiming it was made for her by Peg. The clip shows highlights of Debbie’s romance with Owens.

She also shared a video on Instagram about how she was “incredibly grateful at 65 to have all these new amazing women in my life that I now call friends.“

Debbie Describes Herself as a ‘Celebrity Fitness Guru’

On Debbie’s Instagram, the bio reads, “Celebrity Fitness Guru.” She has dedicated her career to fitness with a focus on helping “50+ with exercise solutions.”

Her bio for the ABC dating show reads, “She is a successful fitness instructor who has worked with countless celebrities and is ready to find the one thing that’s been missing in her life: everlasting love,” Decider reports.

She & Mel Owens Have a ‘Natural’ Connection

Debbie really wants to be the woman that Owens picks, and in the interview, she also gushed about their connection.

“Mel is so amazing. I just adore him,” she told Us Weekly. “We just have this really natural, comfortable connection. We’re both from the Midwest, and it just seems to fit on so many levels. I hope that he’s feeling the same way that I am.”
