Sir David Beckham Meets King Charles & Queen Camilla as Rose Is Named After the Soccer Superstar

Soccer superstar and businessman Sir David Beckham dropped by the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea in Chelsea, London, on Monday, May 18. Beckham was there ahead of the 2026 Chelsea Flower Show. While he was visiting, he caught up with some rather important guests.

The annual event โ€” which is formally known as the Great Spring Show and is held for five days every year in May by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) โ€” is the world’s most famous and prestigious flower and garden show.

Per the event’s official website, it “aims to inspire, educate and excite visitors about horticulture.” This year, it’s running from Tuesday, May 19, until Saturday, May 23.

Beckham, 51, was visiting the newly unveiled Curious Garden because a rose named after him is being introduced at the show this year. None other than King Charles III and Queen Camilla joined him to view the flower.

Charles, 77, and Camilla, 78, chatted with Beckham who, of course, was knighted by his majesty in November last year.

The king even took the time to lean in for a sniff of the flower. It appeared to be an attractive light shade of pink in color.

Sir David Beckham, King Charles III, and Queen Camilla were joined in the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea by television personality Alan Titchmarsh.

Titchmarsh, 77, is a well-known British gardener, author, and broadcaster. He hosted the Chelsea Flower Show for the BBC from 1983 until 2013.

He has also presented the likes of “Ground Force,” “Gardeners’ World,” “Love Your Garden,” and “The Alan Titchmarsh Show.” These days, he is known best for presenting the ongoing series “Love Your Weekend with Alan Titchmarsh” (per IMDb).

The horticultural expert took the time to act as a guide for Beckham and the royals on their visit.
