Country star and “The Voice” coach Kelsea Ballerini gave fans a treat when she made a surprise appearance during the Jonas Brothers‘ show on August 31. Ballerini joined the group onstage during the Dallas stop of their JONAS20: Greetings From Your Hometown Tour.
“The Voice” alum Nick Jonas welcomed Ballerini to the stage with a very sweet introduction. “We have lived a lot of life already with this next performer,” the singer said, as shown in a fan TikTok clip. “She’s really part of the family.”
“Tonight, she was gracious enough to come out and be here for this incredible Dallas crowd,” Jonas continued to the cheering audience. “Please welcome to the stage our friend, your friend, Kelsea Ballerini.”
Ballerini took to the stage and sang her 2015 hit “Peter Pan,” then joined the trio for a rendition of their 2009 single “Fly With Me.”
Ballerini Was as Excited as Her Fans for the Performance
The Dallas audience went wild when Ballerini made her appearance, and she seemed just as excited as fans were. After the performance was over, the “Cowboys Cry Too” singer took to TikTok herself to post a clip of her singing with the group.
“Definitely don’t tell 13 year old me i was barefoot bee bopping on stage singing fly with me with the @Jonas Brothers,” Ballerini captioned the video.
She later shared her gratitude on Instagram, posting a photo of the show to her story with the message, “So lovely to be back with the boys in Dallas. Thanks for having me @jonasbrothers!!!”
Ballerini wasn’t even the only special guest the Jonas Brothers had in store for their Dallas performance. The brothers also brought out Ryan Cabrera to sing his 2004 hit “On The Way Down” and Plain White T’s made an appearance as well with their 2005 fan-favorite song “Hey There Delilah.”
There was also a mini Fifth Harmony reunion as Lauren Jauregui, Normani, Dinah Jane and Ally Brooke performed for the first time together onstage since the group took a break in 2018.
Ballerini’s Australian Tour Kicks Off in December
GettyBallerini will be performing on her own tour come December in the Australian cities of Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane.
In the meantime, the singer seems to be taking it easy. “I wish I could sit here and tell you I had a bunch up my sleeve ,” Ballerini shared with People. “I really don’t for the first time in a long time, and I’m learning to be comfortable with that.”
