Alec Baldwin is among the many voices mourning and honoring Catherine O’Hara following her death at age 71. As tributes continue to pour in, colleagues and admirers remember her as a rare, once-in-a-generation performer whose work left a lasting mark on film and television.

Baldwin, who appeared alongside O’Hara in “Beetlejuice,” shared a heartfelt statement with Page Six, reflecting on her legacy and the singular qualities that made her so deeply respected and admired by audiences and peers alike.

Alec Baldwin’s Heartfelt Statement

Baldwin, who starred opposite O’Hara in “Beetlejuice,” reflected not only on her extraordinary talent but also on the professional respect they shared while working together.

Their time on the film placed them at the center of a cast that helped shape one of the most loved cult classics of the era.

“Catherine O’Hara was one of the greatest comic talents in the movie business,” Baldwin said in a statement shared with Page Six through his representative. “She had a quality that was all her own, and my sympathy goes out to Bo and their family.”

The tribute highlighted the deep admiration Baldwin held for O’Hara, both as a performer and as a presence on set whose originality elevated everyone around her.

Hilaria Baldwin Shares a Quiet Tribute

Baldwin’s wife, Hilaria Baldwin, also honored O’Hara, posting a video from the “Beetlejuice” set that showed her husband alongside the late actress.

“Rest in peace,” she wrote in the caption, later adding, “RIP Catherine O’Hara,” and calling her a “legend.”

‘Beetlejuice’ Castmates Reflect on Her Impact

In Tim Burton’s cult favorite “Beetlejuice,” Baldwin played Adam Maitland, a newly deceased homeowner who, along with his wife, watches in disbelief as their house is taken over.

The new owner is O’Hara’s Delia Deetz, a wildly eccentric interior designer who helped define the film’s offbeat spirit.

The movie also starred Winona Ryder, Geena Davis, Jeffrey Jones, and Michael Keaton.

Keaton, who shared the screen with O’Hara, also posted a deeply personal tribute, reflecting on the bond they built over decades.

“We go back before the first Beetlejuice. She’s been my pretend wife, my pretend nemesis, and my real-life, true friend,” he wrote on Instagram. “This one hurts. Man, am I gonna miss her. Thinking about Beau as well.”

O’Hara passed away at her California home on Friday. As per The New York Times, her agency, Creative Artists Agency, confirmed her death in a statement, noting she passed away following a brief illness. Her cause of death has not been disclosed.
