Is Carmen Electra dating again? Well, the “Baywatch” alum says she is open to finding romance again while enjoying a busy new chapter in her life. At 54, Electra knows more about what she wants from a partner after two marriages and several high-profile relationships. Her latest admission comes during a memorable year that has included a return to Playboy, Scary Movie comeback and plenty of happiness with her beloved poodle, Bambi Lion Electra.
A Few Priorities Come With Carmen Electra Dating Again
Electra told Fox News Digital that she still finds a little edge attractive, although her idea of the right partner has expanded over the years. “I still like a guy that’s a little bit edgy, but I wouldn’t mind being with a dad type,” she said. “I did actually date a dad. He had a daughter. I fell in love with the daughter. And I kind of thought that was going to be the relationship. Didn’t work out, but I could be with someone who has a kid or not.”
She is also keeping an open mind when it comes to age. “They don’t have to be a dad,” Electra explained. “They could be a little bit younger. I don’t know. I don’t really know who that guy is yet. I work really hard. I make money. I’m not looking for the man with money. That’s not my goal. If he wants to buy me a few gifts, that’s nice. But I can take care of myself. He just has to be a good person. That’s very important. And we have to like the same things.”
Complete compatibility isn’t necessary either. Electra believes differences can make a relationship more interesting. “It’s also cool when opposites attract,” she said. “Because they say if two people are too similar, one person is unnecessary. So you don’t want it to be too similar, but you do want to like certain things. You want to have some things in common. But you also want to learn from each other.”
Carmen Electra Reflects on Love After 2 Marriages
Electra’s outlook comes after two trips down the aisle. She married Dennis Rodman in November 1998 before their marriage ended in 1999. She later married Dave Navarro in 2003, with their divorce finalized in 2007. Earlier this year, Electra revisited her intense relationship with Rodman on the “Legally Goff” podcast. She described their relationship as genuine but said his partying lifestyle eventually became too difficult to maintain.
Her feelings about love, however, haven’t disappeared. “I’ve always been about love,” she told Fox News Digital. “I’ve always come from a place of love. And if we could all do that, what a wonderful place we could be in. If you really mess with me, I don’t know how much love you’re going to get. But I truly believe in love.”
For now, Electra has another special companion demanding her attention. She adopted Bambi Lion Electra earlier this year and told People in June, “I’m in a good place, I’m really happy,” while calling the poodle “my everything.”
Bambi, whose Instagram page debuted in February, celebrated her birthday on Friday, August 14. Electra has joked that the pampered pup receives so many designer gifts that “she’s got a better wardrobe than I do at this point.” She is already considering another addition, telling People, “I’m obsessed. So I think pretty soon I’ll have a poodle posse.”
Electra Finds Confidence in Her Latest Career Chapter
Romance isn’t the only thing on Electra’s mind. Three decades after making her Playboy debut in 1996, she returned for the magazine’s Summer 2026 issue, this time also serving as an advice columnist discussing love, confidence and reinvention.
She has also returned to the “Scary Movie” franchise and recently expressed interest in potentially appearing in the new “Baywatch” series. For Electra, staying busy has become its own source of confidence.
“I feel the most confident when I’m working, and I’ve been working a lot,” she told Fox News Digital. “When I’m working, I’m really happy. It’s weird; you would think that by now I’d be over it. But I’m just not. I love it. And the more I work, the more confident I feel. When I’m in love, I feel confident. But I don’t have someone in my life right now. But I’m still confident because I’m working.”
She also refuses to let age determine what comes next. “Don’t let anyone tell you you’re too old,” Electra said. “That’s a myth. You are living your own life. You’re not living your life for other people.” For now, Electra may not know who her next man will be, but between her career resurgence, Playboy return and Bambi by her side, she isn’t waiting for romance to make this chapter feel complete.
