A Fight For the Finals
The judges (all of them tonight) are in place. Terry Crews takes center stage, and it’s time to see the acts perform tonight on “America’s Got Talent” 2025. Even though NBC announced there would be a Semifinals Golden Buzzer this season, it looks like that’s not true.
It could be because Mastermind dropped out and only 11 acts are performing, but it’s all up to America’s votes this week. Six of these acts will move on to the Finals next week and compete with the four Golden Buzzer acts from the Quarterfinals for a chance to be named the winner of “America’s Got Talent” season 20!
TT Boys
The TT Boys are the first act to take the stage tonight. They will be trying to break a record during tonight’s performance. They will be attempting to do 40 continuous flips. Can they do it?
They hit the stage and bring out the fire right away, as they set a hula hoop on fire and do some flips. Then the blindfold comes out again, as they do more flips with their eyes covered. It was then time to go for the record, as they flipped 40 times in a row. This was so intense, as he was just flopping around up there, and it looked so scary.
Judges’ Feedback: Mel B said they added fire and height. It was magnificent. Howie said if he had the power, he would give them the Golden Buzzer this week. Sofia said they never disappoint. Simon said they’ve just gotten better and better, and that was so clever.
Zak Mirz on ‘America’s Got Talent’
He went on a rollercoaster ride last week, as Howie gave him an X during his performance. However, by the end of the performance, he got that X back from Howie. He also has his family with him tonight, so that is exciting news for him.
This act is all about five things he’ll be able to do with his kids that his dad didn’t do for him. He has the audience pick one and does this trick, which he seems to think works, but it seems off to me. He then has the judges pick balloons and memories. His acts seem to take too long for my liking.
Judges’ Feedback: Sofia said she loves that he makes magic interactive, and he made it very fun. Simon said what he does is very good and very original, but it’s not as good as last week. Howie said he loves what he’s doing in magic. Mel B said she believes in magic, and that end result was priceless.
Birmingham Youth Fellowship Choir
The choirs always do well on “America’s Got Talent,” so of course, we have two choirs performing tonight. Up first, we see Birmingham Youth Fellowship Choir, who got uplifting and inspiring messages from their community to cheer them on tonight.
They take on “No One” by Alicia Keys tonight. To be honest, I wasn’t feeling their performance last week. This one made me feel like I was watching “Joyful Noise” or “Sister Act 2.” They brought down the house on “America’s Got Talent” season 20, and I was impressed.
Judges’ Feedback: Howie said he had had a rough week, and this was the medicine he needed, and it made him feel good. Mel B said they made it so happy and heartfelt. Sofia said they bring a smile to everyone, and they keep getting better and better. Simon said he is really happy.
Chris Turner
Chris is such a new, fresh act on “America’s Got Talent” 2025. I love how he takes words on stage and then turns them into a rap that is not only funny, but it’s catchy. Tonight, his inspiration for the rap will happen as he is rapping.
To start, he has the judges grab two things from audience members. He starts with rapping about what the judges picked out, but then goes to the audience and grabs even more items and includes them in the rap. This is just awesome, and it’s just catchy and fun to watch. He leaves Simon busting up laughing and in tears.
Judges’ Feedback: Howie said best act of the night, that was amazing. Mel B starts chanting his name. Sofia said he is so clever and he’s like a genius or something, and she thinks he should win. Simon said that is so funny, it was absolutely brilliant.
Unreal on ‘America’s Got Talent’ Season 20
Their parents wanted them to become doctors or engineers, so their last performance was huge. Their parents watched and are now 100% behind them and supporting them on “America’s Got Talent” 2025.
The way these guys move and contort their bodies is amazing. They make it look like all of them are going to break in half. This is so cool to see, and I love them.
Judges’ Feedback: Howie said they should be proud, and he’s never seen the originality they are bringing to dance. Mel B said she doesn’t think they could have done any better. Sofia said it is better and better and creative. Simon said he is slightly on the fence. They are very talented, but it just got a bit boring.
Bay Melnick Virgolino
His mom says she doesn’t know where he got this musical talent from, as neither of his parents has any musical talent. She said he was born for this, and she gets to be his mom.
He comes out and performs “Born to Be Wild” by Steppenwolf. The kid can definitely play the guitar. He is a rocker, for sure. His voice? Not the strongest, but he has such a strong stage presence, even at 10 years old.
Judges’ Feedback: Sofia said he was born for this. Mel B said she does worry about him, as a mother. He is born to do this and hopes he is really enjoying this. Howie said he was amazing. Simon said he doesn’t have to worry about the business because he is just having a great time.
Sirca Marea
They said together, they are helping each other fly. They are going to be blindfolded for this routine, so they are going to be relying on trust, touch, and sound. The emotions are coming through before this performance.
I was a little disappointed when this started, as it seems like the stage setup and background are very similar to their last performance. However, when they brought out the blindfolds, they won me over. They were both blindfolded, and she was flipping with nothing underneath her, so that was beyond dangerous.
Judges’ Feedback: Howie said that it was amazing, scary, and unbelievable. Sofia said they keep making their act better, scarier, and sexier. Mel B said that it was fire and incredible. Simon said it was absolutely brilliant, and they do something new every single time.
Jessica Sanchez on ‘AGT’ 2025
She is so close to the finish line for two big things in her life: making the finals on “America’s Got Talent” and giving birth to her baby girl. The baby has to hold on for a little longer, as mama is hoping to make it to the finals next week.
Jessica is singing “Golden Hour” by JVKE tonight. The song choice, I am not sure about. It’s hard to know what she is singing at times, but her control is amazing. It is very fitting for her voice, and she is showing so much range.
Judges’ Feedback: Sofia said she is so proud that she is her Golden Buzzer. There is nothing she would change about her, and she is amazing. Howie said she looks beautiful tonight, and she sounds beautiful. Mel B said her vocals were just magical, and she has a range that is similar to Mariah Carey. Simon said he loved the song choice, and it showed a different part of her voice.
Leo High School Choir
Right before their teacher started with the choir, she and her husband lost their son. Over the past 25 years, these boys have helped fill a void for her. Now they have made it all the way to the “America’s Got Talent” stage.
They sing “Centuries” by Fall Out Boy. They look like they are having fun on that stage, but I wasn’t overly impressed during their Quarterfinals performance. I would say the same fits for tonight’s performance.
Judges’ Feedback: Mel B said they tear at her heartstrings. She wanted to hear more of their harmonies. Sofia said they make being in a choir the coolest thing in the world. Simon said this act might be the act that has progressed the most, and he really likes them. Howie said they checked every box, great song choice, great performance.
LightWire
This was one of Simon’s Golden Buzzers. They loved nature as kids, so they wanted to create their love for nature into an art. This all grew to become LightWire. It’s surreal for them to be here.
I’ve said this before, and I will say it again. This is the type of act I see winning “America’s Got Talent.” The lights, the technology, the whole show is just amazing. It’s so well put together, it just reminds me of a show someone would pay good money to see in Vegas.
Judges’ Feedback: Simon said that it was spectacular, every part of it was amazing, and perfection. Howie said he doesn’t know if this rose to the level tonight. Sofia said what they do is mesmerizing, and she never wants it to end. Mel B said they are infusing technology with animation and light. She has so much respect for what they just did.
Jourdan Blue on ‘America’s Got Talent’
The final act of the night is one of Howie’s Golden Buzzers this season. He was ill during his Quarterfinals performance, but he still performed, and America voted him through. Now he is going to fight all the way to the end.
For his performance, he sings “Stargazing” by Myles Smith. I definitely think Jourdan has a strong voice, and I like the tone of it. This was a good song for him to sing, but was it too close to the original? He hit some big notes along the way, and I do enjoy him.
Judges’ Feedback: Sofia said everything is just beautiful and emotional. Mel B said he is pitch-perfect, but she wants him to give them that grit again. Simon said we love you. He is very sincere, and he’s a nice person, and he deserves a break, but he thinks he’s playing it safe. Howie said he played it pitch-perfect and that no better singer in this competition.
The Semifinal performances are done for tonight on “America’s Got Talent” season 20. Who are you voting for tonight?
