It’s the Semifinals on “America’s Got Talent” season 20 tonight. While the 11 acts will be performing for America’s votes, they will also be performing for the one Golden Buzzer available.
They will be competing for the Semifinals Golden Buzzer, which is new for season 20. NBC officials didn’t give out many details on how it works exactly, but there will be one available tonight. Will all the judges have to agree on one act? Maybe the audience gets a say? Or even Terry Crews gets one since he didn’t have one to give out during the Quarterfinals? Find out below!

Not Happening Tonight
Despite the fact that NBC announced the new Semifinals Golden Buzzer this season, it looks like it isn’t actually happening this year. I know Mastermind had to drop out of the competition, so there are only 11 acts performing tonight, and there were supposed to be 12. Could that have factored into it?
Regardless, we have 11 acts performing tonight for America’s votes. The results on “AGT” season 20 tonight will depend solely on America’s votes.
The six acts that receive the most votes from America will move on to the “AGT” 2025 Finals next week. Those six acts will compete against the four acts that received Golden Buzzers during the Quarterfinals. That means we will see 10 acts performing next week during the “America’s Got Talent” season 20 finale.
They are definitely hyping up this concept that America is in charge tonight, and we get to decide which six acts will be heading to the Finals next week. Do you wish there were a Golden Buzzer available this round?
