‘AGT’ Spoilers: Season 21 Brings New Twist – Judges’ Callback Round

America’s Got Talent” is shaking up its format for Season 21. As Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Mel B, and Sofia Vergara prepare to welcome a new group of hopeful performers, NBC has revealed a brand-new competition twist that could give some contestants a second shot at reaching the live shows on “AGT” 2026 and make the road to the $1 million prize even more unpredictable. Check out the details for this new round below in our “America’s Got Talent” spoilers.

New Judges’ Callback Round on ‘AGT’

So, what is the new Judges’ Callback round? It’s basically exactly what it sounds like it would be.

This new round will debut on “America’s Got Talent” Season 21. It will give select acts a second chance to impress the judges and earn a spot on the live shows.

The Judges’ Callback round will take place after all of the auditions are complete and all 10 of the Golden Buzzers have been handed out (Terry Crews and the judges will each have two to hand out this season).

The judges will deliberate and choose which performers advance to the live shows. However, for “AGT” Season 21, the judges will also select a group of acts that they want to see perform for a second time before making their final decision.

These acts will be invited back to the Judges’ Callbacks. They will have one last chance to fight for the final remaining spots in the live shows.

Where Can You Watch ‘America’s Got Talent’?

“America’s Got Talent” Season 21 will premiere on June 2 at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on NBC. The two-hour premiere will then be available to stream on Peacock on June 3.

For this new season, viewers will be able to watch two-hour audition episodes every Tuesday night, according to NBC.

The live shows will start airing on August 18, with new episodes airing twice a week. Again, this will consist of two-hour episodes on Tuesdays for the live performances. On Wednesdays, viewers will find out the results from the Tuesday night show at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT.

For this new season, fans can expect to see all sorts of talent take that stage. That’s why “AGT” is successful, because it gives viewers a wide variety of talent. We could see a rapper come out and perform, and up next, a contortionist or a comedian, or a comedian that raps. The options are endless, and Season 21 is going to bring that excitement to fans.

Who Won ‘America’s Got Talent’ Season 20?

As the auditions for Season 21 are about to air on NBC, we can take a look back at the big season last year. It was a celebration all season long, as “America’s Got Talent” was celebrating its 20th birthday. During that celebration, which act won it all during Season 20?

That would be 30-year-old Jessica Sanchez. She returned to the show for Season 20 after she competed on the show during the first season. Jessica was 10 at the time. She made it to the semifinals during Season 1, but was eliminated right before the finale.

Sanchez also competed on “American Idol,” finishing as runner-up during Season 11 in 2012, which was won by Phillip Phillips, who recently competed on “The Masked Singer” as Pugcasso.

“America’s Got Talent” Season 21 premieres on June 2 at 8 p.m. ET/PT on NBC, with new episodes available to stream the next day on Peacock.
