Did Sanchez win? The answer is YES! After being named in the Top 5 acts for the season, it came down to her and Chris Turner. Terry Crews made the announcement, and Jessica Sanchez was named the winner of “America’s Got Talent” season 20!
Golden Buzzer Moment on ‘America’s Got Talent’ 2025
Season 20 of “America’s Got Talent” kicked off for Sanchez with a Golden Buzzer from Sofia Vergara during the auditions. For her audition, she performed “Beautiful Things” by Benson Boone.
Vergara loved it and hit that Golden Buzzer, which sent Sanchez immediately to the Quarterfinals. During the Quarterfinals, she then performed “Ordinary” by Alex Warren while being eight months pregnant!
No Golden Buzzer this time around, but she did get enough votes from America to move on to the Semifinals. During the Semifinals, Sanchez hit the stage nine months pregnant and sang “Golden Hour” by JVKE.
America definitely loves Sanchez, as they voted again and voted to send Sanchez to the “America’s Got Talent” season 20 finals.
Jessica Sanchez Performance on ‘AGT’ 2025 Finale
Jessica kicked off the ‘AGT’ Finale night with her performance. Before she took the stage, she talked about her first time on the show and then struggling in the industry, even though she did finish as runner-up on season 11 of “American Idol.” Jessica said she even quit the industry for a while.
For her performance, she took on “Die With a Smile” by Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga. This was a very solid performance. She has a very strong voice and a great range. This showed that off for her, and I liked it. She gets a standing ovation from the judges!
For the judges’ feedback, Sofia Vergara said it’s like it’s perfection, and she looks like a pregnant angel. Mel B said every time she sings, she brings us more and more into her world. Howie Mandel said so far, this is the best act of the night. Simon Cowell said he felt like that was an extra 10% for her tonight.
