The auditions on “America’s Got Talent” Season 21 kick off tonight on NBC, as the “AGT” 2026 premiere airs. We have new acts taking the stage tonight for the “AGT” judges — Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel, Mel B, and Sofia Vergara. It will be a busy night of performances and decisions, as we find out who will move on to the next round and which acts will be sent home. Find out with us during our “AGT” 2026 live recap below.
Season 21 Auditions Begin on ‘America’s Got Talent’
It’s crazy to think that the Season 21 premiere has arrived. It’s time for new acts to take the stage during this “AGT” premiere. We will also get a chance to see who gets the first Golden Buzzer of the season.
Time will tell, but NBC gave a sneak peek of Unitree. Any sneak peeks seem like it is one of the acts to stand out to the judges. Could that mean they are the ones to earn that Golden Buzzer tonight on NBC? We find out tonight, so follow along with our live recap below!

Season 21 Begins
After a hype video, we have entered the building. The judges are introduced and sit at the table, as it’s now time to get things started on these new auditions. The audience definitely seems to love Simon!
Aggy
He is 42 years old. He has a wife, four kids, and is also a software engineer. Aggy says he would buy a yacht if he won “America’s Got Talent.” He then leaves the stage and comes back barefoot. Aggy proceeds to say emotions before dancing with no music. It’s creepy and weird.
Judges: Mel B asked if it would be interpretive dance. Howie said confusion, then started dancing! Sofia said it was too soon and wanted to ease into it. She wasn’t prepared for this. Simon said people were probably turning up their TVs for the music, but it was just dancing without music.
Results: It’s definitely a no from the judges. Simon said if he’d like to come back with music, he’s personally inviting him.
Lai Noelle
Lai is 14 years old and from Texas. She said she’s gotten more confident in herself and her performances. She said she’s excited and nervous. Lai is definitely showing some nerves, but the audience is there to support her. Time for her to start, but commercial break!
Commercial ends, and we all knew this was coming. The nerves were high, but this girl can sing. She has like a mouse-like talking voice, but has such control of her singing voice. This is a stellar performance. She sings “Die On This Hill” by Sienna Spiro. Sofia whispers to Simon, asking if she should give her the Golden Buzzer, but he says he wouldn’t. It’s a standing ovation from the judges, though.
Judges: Simon said words aren’t necessary, as he stands up and hits the Golden Buzzer! It’s the first Golden Buzzer of the season!
Tyrone & Margo
They are husband and wife, who met each other in a show. She proposed to work with him. They said they want to present something that’s never been done before. They are a danger act, as he starts throwing knives at her. He then gets out a crossbow and shoots an arrow to pop a balloon as she does the splits. Then she takes over the crossbow, as she shoots and pops balloons he is holding, including one in his mouth! They just kept adding more and more dangerous parts to it, spinning and shooting and throwing. It was intense!
While talking with the judges, we learned that they had an accident during a live performance before. It ended with Margo getting a knife to her eye, and she can use only half of it now. That means she’s shooting with one eye now. Even with the injury, she kept with the act.
Judges: Simon said they weren’t messing around. It was the speed that got him; it was so quick. Sofia said Margo looked so sure of what she was doing. Mel said she didn’t see a lot of it, as she was quite terrified. Howie said Margo is the difference here on “America’s Got Talent” Season 21.
Results: It’s four yes votes, so they are moving on!
Nolan Ross Palmer on ‘America’s Got Talent’ 2026
Sofia has a funny moment with him before they bring out a cart with two metal containers on it. It turns out there are hot dogs underneath it. He sets them on fire and proceeds to start throwing them down his throat while on fire!
Judges: Sofia said he’s going to have bad acid reflux in a few years. Simon said he has to stop doing it. It’s a no from all the judges, so he is going home.
Josh Sherman
He said he is a professional trumpet player. If he were to win, he said he would travel with his dog on the big planes. He opens his case and brings out a beet! He starts playing the beet and all four judges buzz him! Josh said he thinks they didn’t let him get to the good part, so Simon lets him go again. It doesn’t get any better, as he plays “Pink Pony Club” by Chappell Roan with an apple. He got eight X’s, so it’s a no for him on “America’s Got Talent” Season 21.
Acro Crew
They said this is a dream come true. They are from Canada. The oldest is 21, and the youngest is 7 years old. They start out dancing and doing some tricks. Then everyone is shocked, as they are posed on stage and out comes a dog to jump over them! They have random dogs join them throughout the act, as they walk on them, jump on them, and do all these tricks.
Judges: Sofia said her two favorite acts (dogs and dancing) together. It was amazing, and they were so good. Howie said they blew him away and loves everything about them. Terry comes out. He said he has never seen anything like this in his life, so he hit the Golden Buzzer for them! The second act getting one tonight on “America’s Got Talent” Season 21! Sofia said she was going to hit the button again, but got beat to it.
Kev Adams
He said he is still learning English, so if he screws up, excuse him in advance. He is French, but started watching American comedians to learn English. His dream was to perform in a theater, so here he is. This one was back and forth for me. Some of his jokes were good and made me giggle, but then others seemed to flop. As he went on, the jokes got better. He did a good job of bringing it all together and doing those callbacks.
Judges: Howie said what he just did was amazing. He is brilliant and loves him. Mel B said he is very likable, relatable, and funny. Simon said he is fearless with it. His comedy is really funny. Sofia said that being funny in a different language is a skill.
Results: Four yeses from the judges, so he is moving on on “America’s Got Talent” tonight.
Aggy Is Back
Aggy is back to redeem himself, so bring on the music, huh? He tells Simon he is going to add music, but he normally doesn’t dance to music. He proceeds to dance to different songs for different emotions. Is there talent there? Not with the dancing, but it’s funny and cute. He does show off some dance moves every once in a while. Regardless of his skills, he is very likable.
Judges: Simon said what a difference. His favorite was loneliness. Sofia said she doesn’t want to be a party pooper, but she liked it without the music. Howie agrees with Sofia. Mel B said it’s interpretive dance, and nowhere else would we see this.
Results: The judges are split, so sadly Aggy won’t be moving on.
Luke Taleno
He was here last year on “America’s Got Talent,” supporting his friend Jourdan Blue, who made it to the AGT Finale. Luke did a video with Simon and said next year, he’ll be back and will get a Golden Buzzer. He’s from Cuba, and said music was what helped him learn the language. Music is all he loves. He is a rapper and has me nervous. Luke starts rapping, and those nerves go away for me. Luke is good! It’s so entertaining, and he has everyone on their feet, vibing.
Judges: Simon said that’s how you take your moment. Sofia said she loved it, and he deserves to be on that stage. Mel B said she liked it, but it wasn’t the greatest audition. Simon said he was getting excited, and he admires people who just do it. Mel B said he does have heart. Howie said he is the image of what authenticity is. He said last year he predicted something, and wondered how he knew. Howie gets up and hits the Golden Buzzer for him!
Unitree
He said his parents wanted him to get a day job, so he is an engineer. He’s waited for this moment for a long time, and stays up late dancing. And out come the robots! Yes, robots! I guess he is putting that engineering job to use, too, huh? There are like 10 of them out there, and they are part of his dance crew. This is so amazing to watch and so cool. He seemed to be nervous before, but his confidence soared with these robots while dancing.
Judges: Simon said they don’t look human, but they’re all looking at him. That was brilliant. Sofia said it was like watching people dance. He is amazing. Mel B said she finds it fascinating. It’s a little freaky, and she loved it.
Results: It’s a yes from all four judges, so he is moving on!
