Keith Urban stepped out for the first time since Nicole Kidman filed for divorce, and his wedding ring was nowhere in sight.
On Thursday, the “American Idol” judge was photographed getting off a private jet in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, just two days after Kidman initiated the legal process to end their marriage.
In the photos shared by TMZ, Urban can be seen wearing a light gray jacket and a black printed shirt underneath. He also sported a black baseball cap and sunglasses.
Urban’s ringless fingers were visible as he carried a brown bag, seemingly confirming that he and Kidman are officially done.
Kidman ‘Focused on What’s Ahead’
GettyPrior to Urban’s first sighting since the divorce bombshell, Kidman was spotted out on a hike with her sister, Antonia. The Daily Mail shared photos from the outing, with the “Babygirl” actress looking quite calm and relaxed.
In one of the photos, Kidman flashed a smile while walking next to her sister. Another showed the actress and her sibling in a deep conversation. At one point, Kidman was seen linking arms with Antonia.
Sources told PEOPLE that the award-winning actress has been “stressed” about the breakup becoming public.
“She’s been stressed because she knew the separation would eventually become public and she was dreading it,” the insider told the outlet. “But she’s surprisingly level-headed and calm. Now that it’s out she’s just focused on what’s ahead and her girls.”
Urban Back On Stage
Meanwhile, Urban has returned to the stage since his split from Kidman. The singer performed on Thursday, October 2, at Giant Center in Hershey, Pennsylvania, as part of his “High and Alive World Tour.”
During the show, Urban displayed a photo of Kidman and their daughters in a slideshow while performing his 2024 track, “Heart Like a Hometown.”
Previously, Urban sparked romance rumors with his guitarist, Maggie Baugh, after he changed the lyrics to his song “The Fighter” during a recent concert.
Originally, the song was inspired by his romance with Kidman, with lyrics that go, “When they’re tryna get to you, baby I’ll be the fighter.”
However, during the performance, Urban changed it to, “When they’re tryna get to you, Maggie I’ll be your guitar player,” referring to his guitar player.
Baugh shared the moment on Instagram, captioning the post, “Did he just say that?”
Fans expressed their disappointment in the comments section over Urban’s move.
Someone wrote, “It is so trashy to do this to a song inspired by his wife. It’s the ultimate ick.”
Another commented, “Wow, that song was made for Nicole. For him to do that that tells us what he’s really all about.”
Others came to Urban’s defense, noting that he often changes lyrics during his concerts.
One fan said, “Ladies, he always changes the lyrics when in other states and situations. He did it with Carrie Underwood too.”
Another wrote, “He’s changed the name many times depending on who he’s performing with this isn’t something new.”
