Kacey Musgraves dealt with a scary incident during her Boston show at TD Garden on her Middle of Nowhere Tour, in which her set caught on fire. But the singer managed to keep her cool, continuing her concert as others worked to put out the small fire. It appeared to have been ignited by pyrotechnics during her “Golden Hour” performance.
“That looks bad,” she said in video from the show. “Genuinely, something’s on fire.”
“I have way too much hairspray to be standing under that (expletive),” she joked, adding that it was “cute,” but also gave her “anxiety.”
“I only like pyro when I know what’s going to happen,” she added. “Does anybody have like a bedazzled fire extinguisher anywhere?”
She is set to get back on stage on Monday night, Aug. 31, in New York City at Madison Square Garden. She still has more than 20 dates remaining, including stops in Pennsylvania, Maryland, Ohio, Wisconsin, Missouri, Minnesota, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, Texas, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, California, and Washington. Musgraves will then head overseas for three performances in the United Kingdom, stopping in Glasgow, Manchester, and London.

Kacey Musgraves Paid Tribute To Dolly Parton In Boston
On Friday, Aug. 28, Musgraves was one of many who paid tribute to and celebrated the life and legacy of music icon Dolly Parton.
During her performance in Boston, she sang her song “Rainbow,” followed by Parton’s hit song, “Here You Come Again.” She dedicated her performance of “Rainbow” to Parton.

In the video, she also talks about Parton, saying, “Someone always looking out for someone else, looking out for the underdog, even when it probably wasn’t easy, even when it didn’t benefit her career. We can all learn a lot from someone like that.”
She also posted on Twitter following news of the music legend’s passing on Aug. 25, writing, “The world feels a lot less sparkly all of a sudden.”I’m really okay if my feed never goes back to normal. It’s not doom-scrolling it’s Dolly-scrolling.”
