Tonight on “American Idol” season 24, we had Disney Night on ABC. The Top 9 on “American Idol” 2026 were taking on some of your favorite Disney songs from some of your favorite Disney movies. Daniel Stallworth has been improving every week this season, so I was excited to see what he was going to pull out for this Disney Night performance on “American Idol” 2026. Last Week on ‘American Idol’ Season 24
For this performance last week on “American Idol” season 24, he sang “Livin’ On A Prayer” by Bon Jovi. Daniel is one of the singers in the Top 9 who has surprised me. I thought he was going to be voted out before the live shows even started. However, here he is.
Now, he keeps surprising me every week. I feel he has gotten better and better each week. He is having fun up there, and it makes it fun to watch. He has a good voice, but I just feel he’s being overshadowed every week by others.
Disney Night on Idol
For Disney Night, he said he was super excited to meet Jennifer Hudson. She talks about him sounding like a preacher, which he said he does. She wanted him to take his time with the song and let us feel the lyrics.
For his performance, he sings “A Whole New World” from “Aladdin.” Jennifer told him to slow it down, and he took the notes. It’s interesting to hear his take on this classic. He put some different notes into it. Daniel definitely put some of those preacher vibes into this one. He hits some awesome runs and definitely makes the song more emotional.
Time for the judges, who gave him a standing ovation. Lionel said that the advice that Jennifer gave him he took to heart. It was so natural. He was giving God’s gift to us, and it was so powerful. Carrie said she was so excited to see he was singing this song. It felt like it was made for him. Jennifer said the doors of the church are now open. He ministered; he owned it. She felt it, and he took every note she gave him. he did that. Luke said he loves his charisma and style. Everything he does is well done.
