We are heading into the infamous Disney Night on “American Idol” season 24 tonight. The Top 9 on “American Idol” 2026 headed to Disneyland this past week, and it will all be shown during tonight’s live show. What can we expect for Disney Night? Check out everything we know so far below in our “American Idol” spoilers.
Last Time on ‘American Idol’
Last week on “American Idol” season 24, the Top 11 took on Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Night. After being mentored by Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo, the contestants took to the stage to perform some classic songs by Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees.
After witnessing some pretty amazing performances, I mean, even Carrie Underwood asked if it could be Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Night every week, it was time for the live voting results. The Top 11 became the Top 9 when Ryan delivered the results. We said goodbye to Philmon Lee and Rae.
Top 9 Headed to Disneyland
A new week is upon us, and Ryan dropped the good news to the contestants last week. This week is Disney Night, which is always a fun night of performances.
The first big news to know for tonight is the epic return of Jennifer Hudson. Not only will the EGOT be serving as a mentor for the Top 9 singers, but she will also be making her way to the judges’ table.
Yes, Hudson will be giving the singers tips and advice during rehearsals. Then she will be giving them feedback along with the other Idol judges.
What Else To Know for Disney Night on ‘American Idol’
The first thing to know for tonight is that two more singers will be eliminated. After all the fun of Disney Night comes to an end, Ryan will deliver the live voting results again, and yes, another two singers will be sent home. We made our predictions earlier on who we think it might be.
Disney Night started back in 2016 after ABC rebooted the show. Since then, first Katy Perry and now Carrie Underwood have dressed up as some iconic Disney characters. That means we should see Carrie in some kind of costume this year. Last year, she dressed up as Rapunzel from “Tangled” and Alice from “Alice in Wonderland.”
What songs will the Top 9 be singing tonight? ABC hasn’t released a song list for the show, but a thread on Reddit has fans of the show listing their picks for these artists. I’m not going to lie, but the list is actually pretty good. “When You Wish Upon a Star” from “Pinocchio” for Brooks or “Son of Man” from “Tarzan” for Chris Tungseth? Sounds like perfect choices to me.
What are you looking forward to tonight on “American Idol” season 24?
