“Big Brother” contestant and winner Nicole Franzel has defended herself after receiving body shaming comments online. In a social media video, Franzel stood up against online bullies who have criticized her this year without the context of what is going on in her personal life with a pregnancy.
Nicole Franzel Posts Video Defending Herself
Writing on a caption accompanying a video posted to TikTok, the 33-year-old reality television star clapped back at those who she felt had body shamed her due to her changing appearance in the last year.
“Me greeting the trolls that body shamed me before revealing my twin pregnancy,” Franzel wrote.
In the video itself, Franzel begins by standing close to the camera before stepping back. This reveals her casual look with a sweater and top knot hairstyle. Audio imposed over the top of the footage is taken from a viral clip featuring Kailyn Lowry and Jo Rivera from the show “Teen Mom.”
Speaking along to the dialog from the audio to make her point, Franzel clearly feels she needs to stand up for herself. She lip syncs, “It’s a beautiful day, isn’t it? You don’t deserve to be outside enjoying the sun.”
Later on in the clip, she moves further away from the camera to reveal her full body, showcasing her baby bump before lip syncing, “you should be in a cave.”
Franzel Shares Pregnancy News
Franzel is married to fellow “Big Brother” contestant Victor Arroyo. The pair met while filming season 18 of “Big Brother,” which Franzel went on to win following her seventh place outing in season 16.
Although the pair were on the same season, their relationship did not start until around a year after they first met. They became engaged during the 20th season of the show and later married in 2021.
During season 18, Franzel struck up a relationship with Corey Brooks. They broke up after leaving the “Big Brother” house. Franzel also developed a close relationship with Cody Calafiore, until a controversial moment in “Big Brother All Star” when he cut Franzel from the final.
In August, the couple announced that they were pregnant and expecting their second child together. However, in September, Arroyo and Franzel released an update that confirmed the news they were actually expecting twins. It is no surprise, then, that Franzel’s body has changed to some extent with the pregnancy.
Franzel and Arroyo have since confirmed that they will be having a boy and a girl, who will join their four year old son.
