“Summer House” cast member Amanda Batula is sharing new details about Bravo’s upcoming series “In The City,” a show that will feature several familiar faces from the franchise while introducing new dynamics and relationships.
Batula will appear on the new Bravo series alongside her estranged husband, Kyle Cooke, and fellow “Summer House” cast member Lindsay Hubbard. The series is expected to focus on a group of friends navigating the next phase of their lives in New York City.
Batula spoke about the new show during a March 9 appearance on the podcast “Trading Secrets,” where she explained how the format differs from “Summer House.”
Amanda Batula Says ‘In The City’ Will Focus on Relationships
During the interview, Batula said the upcoming series will highlight relationships rather than the party-focused format that viewers associate with “Summer House.”
“In The City, I think it’s going to be great. It’s going to be a whole different concept,” Batula said on “Trading Secrets.”
“It’s not the partying and the Hamptons that you’re used to,” she added. “It’s a lot more relationship based, which is you were only getting mine and Kyle’s relationship for a very long time on Summer House and now you’re getting a ton of relationships.”
Batula said viewers will see people in different stages of their lives and relationships.
“So you’re seeing different couples at different phases in their relationships, too,” she said. “Some people are married, engaged, dating, getting serious. They’re single parents.”
Batula previously hinted at the mix of cast members during a November 19 appearance on “BravoCon Live with Andy Cohen,” saying fans will see “new and familiar faces” on the show.
Kyle Cooke and Lindsay Hubbard Share Details About the Cast
Cooke also spoke about the cast during a panel discussion at the 92nd Street Y on January 28.
“Also, what’s fun is that it’s with friends that we’ve had for 10 plus years that never really came on Summer House,” Cooke said, according to a clip shared on Bravo’s Instagram.
Cooke added that viewers will meet new people alongside familiar personalities.
“We have other friends that you haven’t necessarily met,” Cooke told Us Weekly during BravoCon 2025. “It’s going to show that next chapter, and there’s gonna be some familiar faces and some new faces.”
Batula and Hubbard also appeared on the 92nd Street Y panel, where they explained how the new show will focus on adulthood and major life changes.
“There’s a lot of couples that are engaged or in serious relationships, married, with children,” Batula said during the panel. “Where Summer House is a lot more about singles and hookups and partying.”
“So, you’re more so navigating that next chapter and the next phase in life. It’s a little more into adulthood. Not too much.”
Hubbard said the show will also highlight the cast’s daily lives in New York City.
“And it shows our day-to-day lives in the city, whereas Summer House is focused in the Hamptons, and then you have a little bit of our city life,” Hubbard said.
Bachelor Nation Couple Almost Appeared on the ‘Summer House’ Spinoff
The casting process for the series also included some unexpected names.
Serena Pitt and Joe Amabile revealed on the March 11 episode of their podcast, “Not Married to This,” that producers had contacted them about potentially joining the show.
Amabile said they received a call during the casting process.
“We were almost on that. I don’t know if we were almost on it, but we had a call,” Amabile said.
Pitt explained that producers considered multiple groups of potential cast members.
“When they were casting In the City, they had three different bundles of people, like three separate casts that they were looking at and we were part of one of the casts and they went with a different one which makes sense,” Pitt said.
The conversation began after Amabile admitted that “Summer House” is his reality TV guilty pleasure.
‘In The City’ Will Follow Major Life Transitions For Amanda Batula & Co
According to the show’s official logline, the series will focus on a group of New Yorkers navigating significant changes in their personal lives.
“In the city that never sleeps, a group of New Yorkers navigate the biggest transitions of their lives — marriage, parenthood, reinvention and the reality of growing up without growing apart,” the logline reads.
The description also raises a central question for the cast.
“Can they have it all, or will they need to choose between the lives they’ve built and the futures they never saw coming?”
Pitt also suggested that “In The City” will air after “Summer House,” which may give viewers additional context about Cooke and Batula’s separation.
The couple announced in January that they had “mutually and amicably decided to part ways as a couple” after four years of marriage. Their relationship struggles were also highlighted in the trailer for “Summer House” season 10, which was filmed in 2025 and premiered in February 2026.

Depending who is on the show, if I watch. I’m sick of Kyle and Amanda. Over exposed couple. Sorry
Yeah, I hope by casting Amanda and Kyle, that the producers don’t actually think the viewers want to see any more of their relationship play out on TV. We watched over a decade of the same arguments. What now? We are going to see the entire divorce process. I am done with them. I would prefer just Amanda be on the new show without Kyle. Is Kyle really that popular with the viewers?
