Reality star Gia Giudice is reflecting on her first season as a main cast member of “Next Gen NYC,” and she says it is far different from her first television experience. She debuted with her family, at age eight, on “Real Housewives of New Jersey” during its first season. While tables were flipped, she was mostly shielded from the drama.
Gia recently chatted with Lala Kent on her “Casual Chaos” podcast and explained how watching herself back as an adult is like looking in the mirror.
Giudice on Personal Growth
EntertainmentNow/GettyThe Bravo star has stated that 2025 brought her significant personal growth, and she credits “Next Gen NYC” for many of the changes she has made. Gia dished on her journey through this last year on her “Casual Chaos” podcast when Lala Kent stopped by.
“It was different, the feeling that you are doing the right thing in the moment, but then when you watch yourself back, you wish that you maybe handled it differently. But at the end of the day, you said it, and this is how it happened.”
“I genuinely have the biggest heart, I am a hustler, I’m a hard worker,” Gia says. “I think people who have watched Jersey from the start saw that I am compassionate, and I do mean well, but sometimes I come off harsh, and sometimes I can come off a little aggressive… even though I’m not trying to.” Gia says that watching the series is like looking at herself in a mirror, and she isn’t always thrilled by what she sees.
The Reality Star on Learning to Be a Better Version of Herself
Bravo“Next Gen NYC” spotlighted Gia and her young friends as they try to carve out a life for themselves in the city. Some of the confrontations along the way have made Gia reevaluate how she handles things.
“I need to check myself and be like, ‘All right, yes, this is you, Gia. You’re a protector. You have that mom instinct, but you also need to be a friend, and you can’t always insert your opinion. Not everybody’s like you,’” she says.
“So that was hard for me to kind of balance… And I loved watching myself back because… I self-reflected and I was like, ‘OK, now I know how I’m going to be a better version of myself moving forward.”
