Daisy Kelliher, one of the stars of the reality television series “Below Deck Sailing Yacht,” is launching her very own podcast. Joining her on the new venture is writer and director Marc MacNamara, a former charter guest on season 5 of the show.
Daisy Kelliher Starts New Podcast
In news first broken by The Hollywood Reporter, Kelliher has revealed that she is launching her very own podcast. “Yacht Mess” will be co-hosted by MacNamara and is produced and distributed by Studio 71. The production and media company has several other podcasts under its umbrella, including “Magical Overthinkers,” “In My Homosexual Opinion: The Podcast,” “Juicy Scoop,” and “Dudes Behind the Foods.”
As for what the podcast will focus on, the logline for the show suggests that they’ll take a broad look at pop culture as well as behind-the-scenes stories from the world of yachting and celebrity. It reads: “Marc and Daisy unpack the wildest, most cringeworthy, yet somehow fascinating people and events that make you shake your head and say, ‘Did that really just happen?’”
“They’ll navigate the waves of drama, from celebrity meltdowns to hilarious mishaps in pop culture and the high and low tides of luxury getaways — and sometimes the outrageous behavior that makes yachting and travel so irresistible: hilarious, unfiltered and unapologetically messy.”
“Marc and I are excited to be launching Yacht Mess. I can’t wait for fans to connect with me in a new way and experience an even more unfiltered version of myself,” Kelliher said in a statement. “Together, we’re excited to navigate the stormy seas of work, dating, pop culture and more — on our way to calmer waters.”
In an Instagram post, Kelliher revealed that the first episode of the podcast will arrive on October 28. The reality star also explains that she and MacNamara “have been working on this for months” and promises “more unfiltered messiness” from the pair.
Daisy Kelliher Is Best Known As A Chief Stew
Regulars of the “Below Deck” franchise will know Kelliher best from her role on “Below Deck Sailing Yacht” as chief stew. A role she has served since her season 2 debut in 2021, she is the senior most crew member with responsibility for the interior of the yacht. She’ll also be part of the cast of the spin-off “Below Deck Down Under” in 2026.
Kelliher was notably involved in a love triangle with Gary King and Colin MacRae. The storyline dominated the fourth season of the show and was one of the big talking points of the series in recent times.
