Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright have reached an agreement on child custody for their four-year-old son, Cruz, TMZ reports.
According to court documents obtained by the outlet, the “Vanderpump Rules” alums will not be required to pay child support, instead only being “responsible for costs and expenses associated with Cruz when he’s in their custody.”
Brittany has primary custody, with Taylor getting Cruz every other weekend as well as Wednesday nights. They also have a holiday schedule as well as a timeline set for when their son is allowed to meet any potential significant others, which is after six months.
The two agreed on “joint legal custody and responsibility in making decisions for Cruz’s health, education, and general welfare,” but Brittany reportedly has final say regarding health decisions. They also will not be under the influence of alcohol, marijuana, or any other form of illegal drug while Cruz is in their custody.
Brittany Cartwright Says She’s ‘Thriving As A Single Mom’
During the January 13 episode of “California Live,” Cartwright opened up about this new chapter in her life.
“I feel like I’m thriving as a single mom,” Brittany said. “My son is so amazing, and I feel like … I always wanted to be a mom. He’s so cute. He is my little everything; he’s my best friend, and, you know, honestly, I just love having him with me all the time. I just love it.”
The couple separated in February 2024, and the two have dealt with a very public breakup, which has not been easy. However, Cartwright was optimistic about the future.
“I take care of pretty much everything by myself, so, you know, [Jax] is doing better and a lot of things like that,” she explained. “He definitely loves his son, but, you know, I just get things done.”
Will Jax Taylor Be On Season 3 Of ‘The Valley’
“The Valley” season 3 will premiere on Bravo on April 1, but will be without one of the original cast members.
Taylor decided to step away from the show to focus on his mental health and recovery after revealing that he had been addicted to cocaine for more than 20 years. In Season 2, Taylor was missing from a few episodes as he was in a mental health facility for 30 days. His separation from Cartwright was one of the biggest storylines of the hit show’s second season.
However, while Taylor won’t be back, “The Valley” is bringing on two fan-favorites from “Vanderpump Rules,” with Lala Kent and Tom Schwartz joining the cast.

All good choices. Can’t wait for it to start.
