Sabrina Carpenter has made her mark in the pop music world, and now she’s taking on the country scene. The singer made her debut at the Grand Ole Opry and celebrated the occasion by posting about it on Instagram.
“[L]ast night i made my @opry debut in Nashville and what a magical night it was,” she wrote in the caption of her October 8 post. She also included a few pictures of herself at the legendary venue as well as a throwback photo of Dolly Parton during her own Opry performance.
Carpenter included a caption, writing, “The brilliant @sherylcrow took the time to come out and introduce me and i am the biggest fan ever so that made my whole night alone if nothing else!!!”
She added: “thank you to the showstopping band that accompanied me last night. thank you to my amazing fans who came out and for the Opry frequenters that opened me with welcome ears and hearts :’) I’m a lucky girl!”
Carpenter’s Dress Was Made for Another Star
When Carpenter made her Grand Ole Opry debut, she wore a dress that was worthy of the occasion. In fact, it happened to be a special Bob Mackie dress with a showbusiness legacy.
“@sabrinacarpenter wears an archival @bobmackie black jersey one-shouldered strip dress, with large crystal and diamond gemstones,” the desinger’s Instagram account shared. “The dress was originally designed for Ann-Margaret’s club act in the 1970s.”
They continued: “Sabrina wore it for her debut performance at @opry in Nashville. The dress and sketch will be featured in the @juliens_auctions sale ‘Bold Luxury: Bob Mackie, Stage Glamour & The Couture Edit’ on Dec 3rd 2025.”
