It wasn’t that long ago that Robert Irwin and Witney Carson won the Mirrorball Trophy, but “DWTS” casting chatter is already heating up. While ABC has yet to officially confirm “Dancing With the Stars” season 35, a growing list of celebrities are publicly campaigning for a shot at the ballroom. Here’s a look at 13 of those famous faces who’ve made it clear they’d happily trade their day jobs for sequins and spray tans.
1. Amber Glenn
Amber Glenn took home a gold medal at the 2026 Winter Olympics. Now the figure skater wants to take home the mirrorball trophy, also!
Glenn talked with “Dancing With the Stars” season 26 winner Adam Rippon in a social media video. She told Adam that the dancing competition is on her “post-Olympics bucket list.”
She said, “‘Dancing With the Stars’ for sure. I just love everything about it, [like] the costuming, the set design. I can’t wait to see and inquire about that.”
2. Simu Liu
I mean, this would be a huge get for “Dancing With the Stars” and ABC, so make it happen!
The Marvel actor talked with Entertainment Tonight in November 2025, and they asked if he would ever compete on the show.
Simu Liu said, “I think about it, like, at least once a week. I don’t follow them on Instagram, but I love dance, and I love watching people dance, and I love dancing. I feel like I’ve weirdly kept up with this season and watching Dylan Efron and watching Robert Irwin and all that. Trust me, I think about it regularly. So, I mean, I don’t know, if at some point in the future I can block out that amount of time, I would be down.”
3. Ginnifer Goodwin
During a December 2025 interview with “On the Red Carpet,” “DWTS” cohost Alfonso Ribeiro was trying to sell it to Goodwin. While Alfonso said she’d be great with Val Chmerkovskiy, the “Zootopia 2” actress said she would be “honored” to join the show.
4. Rob Gronkowski
Rob Gronkowski appeared on “Today” in January, and the former NFL star stated he’s always had an interest in competing on “DWTS.”
He said, “‘Dancing With the Stars’ has always been on the plate. There’s no doubt about that. I actually hosted [Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve] this year with Julianne Hough. Yes, I did, and she just brought it up continuously. ‘When are you coming on with ‘Dancing With the Stars?’”
However, the “DWTS” season falls during the NFL season, so it would be difficult for him to take it on.
5. Taylor Frankie Paul
Taylor has previously shared a post on TikTok expressing interest in the show. This was before Jen Affleck and Whitney Leavitt competed on season 34.
Now Taylor will be the upcoming star of “The Bachelorette,” so it only seems like the normal progression for her to compete on “DWTS” afterwards, right?
6. Brittany Cartwright
Brittany Cartwright sat down and talked with “DWTS” season 32 alum Harry Jowsey during an episode of his “Boyfriend Material” podcast. The “Vanderpump Rules” alum talked about whether or not she has any interest in competing on the show.
“I think I would. I think it would be fun because I do have, like, a cheerleading background,” Cartwright said. “So, hopefully I would be able to, like, pick it up, you know? But I don’t know. I think that would be fun.”
7. Flavor Flav
Was there anyone more memorable as a guest judge during season 34? Apparently, ABC thinks that could turn into him being a contestant on the show, as Flavor Flav said he has been approached about joining the show as a contestant.
The rapper told People, “They want me to. They want me to come back and dance. I don’t know. I might do it if I think I could do it.”
8. Nia Sioux
A TikTok user created a video with their season 35 casting predictions. In that video was “Dance Moms” alum Nia Sioux.
Nia then jumped in the comments, writing, “MY DREAM.” The TikTok user suggested Sioux be partnered with Brandon Armstrong, who then replied to Sioux’s comment, writing, “So…. What’s up?👀🤝.”
9. Jackson Olson
Jackson is a member of the Savannah Bananas. They are beyond popular and can sport those dance moves. It looks like Olson wants to take those dance skills from the baseball field to the ballroom.
In December 2025, he made a TikTok joking about him being on the show, but it not really his style. The video then proceeds to a montage of clips of him dancing with teammates, friends, and family. In the captions, he wrote, “Long story short… yes, yes I would :).”
10. Gia Giudice
Gia Giudice went on “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test” season 4 and won. She then talked with TV Insider, saying she would “love” for “Dancing With the Stars” to be her next reality show.
11. Bart Johnson
Bart Johnson starred in all three “High School Musical” films. “DWTS” pro Britt Stewart also appeared in all three movies as a backup dancer.
Johnson expressed interest in a November 2025 episode of the “Get Your Head in the Game” podcast. Fans were eating up this possible pairing.
12. Jake Shane
The social media star and comedian has talked about being open to joining “DWTS,” especially after watching his friend Alix Earle’s journey on the show last season. Shane told People in December 2025, “Time will tell. They haven’t made the offer yet, so I can’t even say yes or no.”
13. Nic Vansteenberghe
Nic Vansteenberghe appeared on “Love Island USA” with Olandria Carthen. Now it appears Vansteenberghe has his sights set on joining the “DWTS” cast.
He told Glamour, “I’m down for anything but a dating show. I’m going to start training soon. I’m manifesting.” He added that his dance progression “would be insane,” and he just wants to dance.
