MasterChef Is Going Global
8:02 p.m. – This season of “MasterChef,” they are going global. The contestants will represent four regions of the world: Europe, Asia-Pacific, the Americas, and Africa. We are starting with auditions in Europe, so keep refreshing this page to see updates from tonight’s episode.
8:15 p.m. – We have kicked things off with the Europe auditions. The amateur chefs have 45 minutes to create their signature dishes. They must get three yes votes from the judges to get a “MasterChef” apron and move on in the competition. The first contestant was a no.
8:24 p.m. – The first apron was handed out, as Julia impressed the judges with her cannolis. Her grandmother actually competed during Season 6 of the show, so a family tradition.
8:33 p.m. – Another apron was handed out, as Nico earned one cooking risotto that impressed all three judges.
8:40 p.m. – We had a no for the romance author who created a story about Chef Ramsay on the spot. Then it was a yes for a stay-at-home mom representing Spain, Aghata.
8:49 p.m. – Another batch of chefs, with the first one representing Greece presenting his dish to the judges. Gordon is contemplating if it’s too simple or not, even though Joe and Tiffany were a yes.
