The relationship between Owen and Teddy has long been one of the emotional anchors of “Grey’s Anatomy,” a story that has unfolded over years of love, heartbreak, distance, and second chances.

Still, there is a sense that their story may not end in heartbreak. Series creator Shonda Rhimes hinted at a more hopeful conclusion. In an official statement, she said:
“It is both bittersweet and joyful to give this couple the happy ending their story deserves.”
Both McKidd and Raver rank among the longest-serving cast members in “Grey’s Anatomy” history. McKidd joined the series in Season 5 in 2008 and has since appeared in 379 episodes.
