Fans Delighted After Krakow Shows Her Appreciation For Shields
“🚨@brookeshields appreciation post! 🚨 It was such a joy having Brooke back in Hope Valley with us. A decade flew by since her last appearance on @wcth_tv, but she fit right in like no time had passed. Brooke’s an absolute dream to work with; she’s also a true pro who never phones it in. The breadth of emotion she brought to Charlotte was moving and inspiring. Comment your favorite Charlotte scene below,” Krakow wrote in the caption of her March 9 post.
Fans flooded the comment section to also share their love for Shields and her emotional return:
“The grave scene had me ugly crying. Brooke & Kevin brought it! 😭 We’ve waited a long time for that closure and push forward for Nathan and Elizabeth. Brooke was great this season! ❤️”
“It might have been 10 seasons that @brookeshields Charlotte Thornton graced our screens on When Calls, but she won our hearts all over again! 🥹 Brooke is incredibly talented! How lucky are we to have her back for S13! LOVE all of her scenes, but if I had to pick.. Charlotte & Nathan at Jack’s grave asking for ‘the last blessing’ wow, beautifully done! Lots of tears! 😭We love you, Brooke! 👑❤️”
“It was an absolute joy having Brooke back on the show. That graveyard scene with Nathan had us all bawling 😭😭😭 Sooooo good 😍❤️”
“The scene with LJ and Elizabeth talking about her being tough and not needing anyone. And the incredibly moving scene with Nathan at Jack’s grave. I appreciate the handing of grief throughout the season, but seeing Charlotte work through her grief and have the support of Nathan and the family was moving and beautiful! To see her gain some closure and for her and Nathan to have healing was powerful!”
Will Charlotte Return in ‘WCTH’ Season 14?
Hallmark“I think having Charlotte there these episodes was a real commencement, a send-off, and a new chapter, right? So to bring her back, I don’t know if it would be the best thing because, right now, Little Jack has Nathan, and you wouldn’t want Charlotte’s recurrence to be convoluted or confused at all,” Shields said in an exclusive interview with TV Insider in March 2026.
She continued, “I think her work here has been done. I mean, whoever knows what’s going to happen.”
Shields explained that Charlotte’s visit was the closing of a chapter. “I think it’s a fresh start,” she said. “And I think, whatever happens, I think all the boxes have been checked, and it’s been done with love. It’s a big moment of change for everybody.”
“She realized her importance in all of this, and that had to have been fabulous for her,” Shields told the outlet of Charlotte’s relationship with Little Jack. “I think she went back to her boarding house feeling very resolved, and yet ready to continue to do the work that she has established for herself in her environment.”
