Hope Valley is about to get a little more cinematic. Yep, you read that right, we’re making a movie this week. A fresh tease from Pascale Hutton should have Hearties buzzing about what’s coming next. Specifically for everyone’s favorite dramatic (and lovable) Rosemary on “When Calls the Heart.”
In a joint Instagram post with the official “WCTH” account on February 16, 2026, Hutton gave fans a playful preview of the upcoming episode. The caption set the tone immediately: “Hope Valley is heading for the silver screen!… If Rosemary’s plan goes well, that is! 😅”
Let’s be real; when Rosemary has a plan, chaos and charm usually follow. And we can’t wait to see how this one plays out.
A Silent Film Brings Big Rosemary Energy
According to the official synopsis for “When Calls the Heart” Season 13, Episode 8, titled “Take Two,” Rosemary is stepping into full director mode.
“Feeling the loss of her playhouse, Rosemary directs a silent film and gets the whole community involved.”
It seems like the storyline is perfectly tailored to Rosemary’s flair for the dramatic and her ever-present creative spark. If you’ve watched her journey over the years, you already know she thrives when she has a big project. Especially one that brings the town together.
Hutton also reminded fans exactly when to tune in to Hallmark Channel. She wrote, “Don’t miss an all new episode of When Calls the Heart on Sunday at 8/7c, next day on Hallmark Plus. #Hearties”
Safe to say, the countdown is officially on.
Pascale Hutton Reflects on Rosemary’s Growth
Beyond the upcoming episode, Hutton recently got candid about Rosemary’s long-term evolution. In an exclusive interview with Parade she opened up and the reflection is honestly pretty heartwarming.
“Rosemary started in the series quite self-involved and quite honestly, selfish. She came to town very self-serving, wanting to win back her ex-fiancé, and I don’t know if she had any intention of staying in Hope Valley,” she explained.
If you’ve been watching since the early days, that tracks. Early-season Rosemary and present-day Rosemary? Very different energy.
According to Hutton, the real shift happened through Rosemary’s relationships. Particularly with her marriage to Lee (Kavan Smith) and her friendship with Elizabeth (Erin Krakow).
Hallmark“She became integrated into the community, experienced tremendous growth, and saw the value of it,” Hutton continued. “She realized that she is one small part of a bigger picture and that her zest for life and creativity could be an asset to other people in this community – this is a huge evolution.”
And honestly, that’s part of why the character still resonates. Rosemary didn’t just settle into Hope Valley… she grew into it.
Hutton closed the interview on a grateful note that longtime fans will definitely appreciate: “I really do love Rosemary. I think she’s so dynamic, fun, and challenging. What’s changed for me over the years is that not a second goes by in which I would take any of this for granted!”
Between the silent film storyline and Rosemary’s continued evolution, it seems like Season 13 is keeping Pascale Hutton right where she belongs; center stage, but with heart. And if this tease is any indication, Hope Valley’s next chapter might just be one of its most fun yet.
“When Call the Heart” airs Sundays at 8:00pm ET on Hallmark, streaming next day on Hallmark+.
